Gotta start looking closer at Cutter Gauthier as the Sabres move up the Standings...Think they will be out of the running for the guys I've been keeping a close eye on this season. His profile seems to suit what the Sabres are trying to build. Gauthier, Ohgren, Luneau and Rinzel would be a good haul

I live in Burlington, which is 2 cities away from Mississauga. I know a guy who lives in Mississauga a couple of streets over from where Power's family live. Word on the street is that he was extremely happy to be drafted by Buffalo and can't wait to sign. Take the word on the actual street for what's its worth.

They need to find a RHD in the UFA market - a guy with a beard to solidify them. Otherwise i think the D is pretty set for next year Dahlin and Jokiharji Power and Beard Guy Samuelsson and the best Johnson/Fitzgerald/Bryson/Pysyk

I really like the idea of Noah Warren in the 2nd. originally thought 3rd but think he's moving up the draft boards Im really looking forward to profiling him Now thats a kid that looks skinny but when he fills out, he could be a real find. Watched a bit of Gatineau vs Drummondville this weekend. Unfortunately, Warren didn't but his teammate Luneau looked really impressive.

Where does the narrative that his defensive game needs work come from? I mean he’s out their killing penalties, I don’t see Quinn out there doing that. JJ is more than just a depth piece IMO. No use having him sit when the team is healthy

Just looking at the Sabres upcoming schedule April 12th in Toronto. Pretty amazing set-up for a kid from Mississauga to have their first NHL game at the Air Canada Centre vs the Leafs

i think this year you could just put the top 12 names into a hat and pull them out and you'd have as good as anyone in getting the order right. That being said, im still pretty confident that Wright goes #1

I agree with this. I think I took the original post as bulking up to play in a violent NHL like it was back in the day. that being said , when I watch Quinn I don’t see a skinny kid out there

The more I think about this the more i dislike brining in a high cost winger and blocking JJ’s path to the NHL im sure the Sabres can afford it and it may help them next season but longer term, getting JJ into the NHL and up to speed will pay dividends if you are going to spend big $. Do it on a RHD and / or a goalie. Though I’d wouldn’t like them to go long on the veteran goalie contract
