Sorry meant his list , not himself. thanks, I should have clarified that Meant to Gaucher who Bob had at 28 My mistake
-
Looking back to how close Bob was in getting the top 8 right year by year 2015 he got 7/8. He had Crouse a little too high. He had Werenski at 11, who went in the top 8 his guy at 9 was Barzel, interestingly enough 2016 - he hit on all 8 guys taken prior to the 9th pick 2017 - 7 of 8 Vilardi he had at 5 and actually went 11th the Rangers took Andersson who Bob had at 15 2018 only 6 of the 8 Hayton and Boqvist were taken in the actual draft in the top 8. Bob had Dobson and Bouchard in his top 8 but went Iater 2019 6 of 8 He had Podkolzin and Zegras on top 8 While it was Seider and Broberg who moved up 2020 he got all the top 10 guys right Though he had Rossi and Perfetti gone prior to 9th with Holtz and Quinn in the 9/10 spots 2021 another accurate rankings as he got the top 9 guys taken correct Though he had Guenther at 6 and he was taken 9th Bob had Johnson at 9. so the last 2 draft rankings have been extremely accurate by Bob. We will see if he continues the trend I’d say the only guy he really missed on in the last 7 is Seider

Oops, wrong name right in that he could be a good 4th line Center
-
If the draft actually fell exactly like the TSN list. Sabres would take Savoie, Lambert, Gauthier and Warren. That would be a pretty good haul. Though I wouldn't be a huge fan of the Guathier pick, he does bring size and could be a pretty good 4th line Center down the road.

2022 UFAs, Who do Sabres have a chance at
Crusader1969 replied to North Buffalo's topic in The Aud Club
they should be interested. Would love for them to sign him and Zadorov -
Didn’t know Tim Murray was a poster on this board. Sorry Tim , it didn’t work in 2015 and it won’t work in 2022
-
I was thinking that Mintyukov would be gone by 16 i can be swayed to take him over Bischel without a doubt. i actually think Bischel should go around 22 to 24 So I’m drafting him a bit early at 16 but he fits the Sabres needs perfectly
-
I look at it as a buying another lottery ticket , plus at 28 you are rolling the dice anyways hopefully 1 turns out to be great, another serviceable and the 3rd probably doesn’t make it I will add that if one of two top Russians fall and are available at 28, I’m taking either over Firkus
-
I would agree with you if the Sabres didn’t have Dahlin and Power. Korchinski seems to be a guy who can be a qb on a PP and a good offensive dman But they do have Power and Dahlin, so I’m leaning Bischel. I could envision a top 4 of Dahlin / Samuelsson and Power (moving to the right) with Bischel Now that would be a nightmare for teams to play against
-
Good work!
-
I think the Sabres tried to make him something he is not - a shutdown dman. Not to mention the fact he was way overused at a young age. We will never know what could have been. Just that they seem to be much better at development now than before
-
He’s an unrestricted free agent in a year. Free to sign with whatever team he wants. Even if he is moved, he can still sign with the Sabres
-
I honestly don’t understand your point. Please clarify. The guy is a UFA at the end of next season, I’m not giving up 1st rounder, prospect and a 20 goal scorer for 1 year of Kane when I can get him for free in a year
-
With disregard to the seasons after that Basically, 1 step forward to then take 3 steps back? That’s how the Sabres became a mess in 2015 under Murray
-
I’ll take a Risto that is properly developed - just like the Mule was If you can get Ennis at 28. You’ve done well

Want to add a name that has been discussed before at 28. (If available) JAGGER FIRKUS RW | MOOSE JAW WARRIORS 20 5 7 6 Rank Skating Shooting Passing A 6.5 7 4 Grade Puckhandling Hockey Sense Physical HEIGHT 5'10" D.O.B. APR.24,2004 WEIGHT 154 SHOOTS RIGHT “His skill level is phenomenal. I don’t think it’s a stretch to call his hands among the best in the draft. He might take a while to make the NHL though since he’s so far from physically ready.” - Eastern Conference Scout in May 2022 2 weeks till the draft and I’m hoping 9 - Nazar Fast, tenacious, skilled 16. Bichsel mobile and mean 28 - Firkus, Lambert or a Russian that has dropped. Sabres have the draft capital to swing for the fences at 28 Boom or Bust

Even better. Wait a year and get him for nothing

Thank god. The voice the of reason!

More on Bichsel from Tony Ferrari. Hockey News Draft Prospects " 29 | LHD | Lian Bichsel, Leksands (SHL) One of the better defensive reargaurds in the draft class, Bichsel has steadily become more confident with the puck on his stick and he brings an element of physicality that isn’t common in the 2022 draft class. The 6-foot-5 Swiss defender is an imposing force in the defensive zone who uses his reach to disrupt play and he has no mercy when closing out along the boards. Bichsel isn’t going to be much of a puck carrier in transition or be an offensive catalyst by any means, but he should provide rock solid defensive prowess with the ability to move the puck up to the forwards and let them work their magic. He is a player who understands his role at a young age and plays within himself. The ceiling may not be that of a top pair stud but he also has a very safe projection towards the NHL."

With the 16th pick the Sabres draft Liam Bichsel
-
#1 for me but the other two would be fine. Dont love Korchinski as a Sabre, only because I think we have plenty of what he brings....sub in Bicshel or Chesley and i would love it.
-
I just noticed Morreale at NHL.com has the exact same 2 picks as I’m hoping for at 9 and 16 #9 Nazar #16 Bichsel I’d love Yurov at #28 but will be surprised if he’s still on the board
-
I like Bichsel a little more than Mintyukov, but would have no issue with either at 16
-
I still think 16 is a bit too rich , considering the risk. Plus, there will be still a decent amount of good players on the board I don’t mind the Sabres taking a swing at 16 but I’d rather them take Lambert or Yurov before Miroshnichenko.
-
This is why I think he could be around at 28. Huge risk (Russia and Cancer), especially for a team using their only 1st rounder on him
