  1. I definitely want them to take a swing for a home run at 16. Lambert, Yurov and Miroshnichenko would all fit the bill.
  2. At 16 sure, think they can do better at 9
  3. Isn’t Yurov thought to be the better Russian? Miroshnichenko seems more like pick 28
  4. Just my guess but I think he gets taken way earlier than anyone anticipates. He could even l be this years Seider /Edvinsson and get taken in the top 10
  5. He’s talked repeatedly about blocking the paths of his prospects. His prospects happen to be forwards. Sure if he wants to move from Olofsson and / or Mitts then of course he will have to bring someone else in i believe he may add guys to be the 13th and 14th forward nothing more
  6. I don’t think he is disagreeing with you that the Sabres could make a trade to be better next season. He is pointing out the fact the the ACTUAL GM has stated many many many times he isn’t going to block any of his prospects. So bringing in a forward isn’t going to happen. He has 12 now that will be on the opening lineup in October
  7. This man gets it. Great post Adams has said repeatedly he isn’t going to put a road block in front of guys like JJ and Quinn to become a Sabres. Any of these ideas to bring in forwards isn’t going to happen IMHO I believe he already has his top 12 forwards on the roster and wants to see how they perform next year he will concentrate on bringing him in a couple of dmen and a goalie
  8. And trading for Nylander will not have any impact ? You’ve traded away a package of players and he’s going to cost you a bundle. So no, it’s not close ones smart mgmt and the other is reckless The bottom line it’s never going to happen (trading for Nylander) so let’s put the argument to rest
  9. Which is smarter? give up high draft picks and prospects and a Dman like Joker for an 80 point player who has 2 years left on his deal (Nylander) or sign a 80 point player in the UFA market and give up nothing but cap space (Forsberg)
  10. You guys really need to read better 1). I never said don’t do anything this summer I said don’t trade for a guy with 2 years left on his contract 2) I didn’t say 10-15 years from now. I said for the next 10-15 years
  11. Beat me to it. Future Sabres goalie season just ended. Played well overall
  12. Do you understand the 2 years and then he walks aspect of bringing in Nylander ?? It has nothing to do with “mortgaging the future”. Its not worth the price the Sabres would have to pay to get him. can I ask , wouldn’t it be smarter to back the brinks truck up and sign Forsberg rather than give up assets for 2 years of Nylander ??
  13. WTF. I never said I don’t want to go them to make moves. I’ve said many times they need to bring in 2 defensemen and a goalie - Through the UFA market or a trade IF you can keep that player for many years What you proposed of trading away a 1st round pick and prospects for a guy who will be here 2 years is not the answer, IMHO If you want Nylander, you wait and either get him for free or at a discount as he heads into his UFA And you really think William Nylander is the missing piece ?
  14. I guess I’m looking for the Sabres to be really good for 10-15 years Not marginally better for 2.
  15. Only to see him potentially walk in 2 years ? Seems like terrible management to me Now this is the correct answer
  16. 2 years left on his deal. Why not be patient, see how the team develops this year. if the leafs flame out again next season and they know they can’t keep Nylander, maybe then you pull the trigger ….. or just wait 2 years and pay him and give up nothing.
  17. Future Sabres Legend, still in skates 45 mins after his teams season ends in 5 period marathon
  18. 100%. He’s exhausting. The list of terrible and wrong takes by him should have it’s own thread Lucky for you, you will never have to Quinn in an Amerks jersey again
  19. Great news. The next time we see Krebs, Peterka and Quinn it will be in a Sabres uniform Bring on October!
  20. Completely appropriate way for their season to end. A shift by Prost and schudt mucking around in their zone and having zero ability at all to clear their zone followed by Davidson’s defensive blunder the defensive unit of this team was never going to be good enough without Samuelsson All goal scorers go through a slump. He’s in one now and trying to hard
  21. Yep , you can feel how bad he wants to win it.
  22. The unforced icings will bite them sooner or later
  23. How bad were the Sabres injury issues for Prost to play for them for a few gAmes ?
  24. Murray is probably my biggest disappointed this season, considering how he started the year, but has come alive when things looked bleak
