  1. @BNHarrington: Video presentation in first timeout showing presser w/Murray & Patrick. And applause as they're shown in suite w/TBlack and TPeg.
  2. How about listening live? @michaelbuble: Got to hang with two great guys from @BuffaloSabres before tonight's show #Buffalo #MBWorldTour… http://t.co/HyZyWKU7L4
  3. I like Weber a lot, his game speaks for itself. I voted assistant, I don't want the C anywhere near him because I want him to be around a while. It's been well over a decade since we have had a captain that lasted more than 3 seasons and actually contributed. Given the history of captain since 97 I say give it to whomever we want gone in the next couple of seasons.
  4. Well said! Just as a reality check, those guy's and girls that join the military start at $18k a year. Most never see much more than 20k during their first 4 years o service.
  5. The fan base may be apathetic but I disagree that the franchise needs the media. Season ticket holders account for 15,400 of the 19,070 seats at FNC. They reported a 99% renewal rate for this past season and have some 3,000 people that paid $100 a seat for the honor of being on the "list" to be able to purchase season tickets. They have already announced that they are expanding the STH base for next season. As long as the "paying" customer continues to slap down their hard earned money I feel we can expect more of the same. I don't think they at this point care about PR as much as some would hope they would. Case in point is the ridiculous letter that they sent out that was delivered on fan appreciation day announcing the across the board ticket price increase for next season.
  6. I've had T-Mobile for the last 11 years. For me the important factors were the technology behind the carrier and coverage globally. I’ve been mostly happy with T-Mobile. I pay $200 a month for 4 phones with unlimited data and SMS and share 1,000 minutes between the phones. My family prefers not to talk to each other, we text. We also take advantage of being able to connect our devices to Wi-Fi for voice, SMS and data. So for example while I’m sitting in my seat at the FNC with my wife Muffy sipping wine and eating cheese, we connect to the free Wi-Fi at the arena so that we can talk on the phone all game. Your Sprint device wouldn’t work on T-Mobile even if it were newer. Sprint and Verizon use CDMA for their cellular radio protocol. T-Mobile, AT&T and pretty much the rest of the world use GSM for their cellular radio protocol. Sprint has decided to switch from WiMax to LTE for its 4G service next year or the year after so it will in line with the global standard. Regarding devices and contract vs. no contract it really comes down to personal preference. You have two choices 1. Buy the device from the carrier. Do you want to pay the carrier now or later? Either way they are going to get paid if you get the device from them. 2. Bring your own device. Buy your device from the open market and go with the BYOD no contract plan. You can save some money on the device by buying it on the open market, but it does take some work and time. I personally prefer to pay myself vs. paying the carrier for the leg work. All you need to do is identify the device you want and make sure it supports 850 MHz and 1900 MHz for GSM and 1700 MHz and 2100 MHz for HSPA+ and LTE Band 4. If you decide to buy an unlocked LTE phone you will need to manually add the T-Mobile APN to the phone for LTE service. T-Mobile is also converting some of its 1900 MHz to HSPA+ for compatibility with AT&T 4G devices. When shopping for “4G” devices you should know that there is a huge difference between HSPA+ 21 and HSPA+ 42. HSPA+ 42 is closer in download speeds to LTE and in some markets outperforms LTE. Andrew Amerk – Just as an FYI GSM and CDMA are radio protocols, CDMA (Verizon/Sprint) traditionally operates at a lower frequency that GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile). So if all things were equal (cell tower location etc.) CDMA operating at 850 MHz vs. GSM operating at 850 MHz would have the same penetration into structures. But CDMA operating at 850 MHz (Sprint) and GSM at 1900 MHz (T-Mobile) the CDMA would outperform the GSM for penetration into structures. The same would hold true in rural areas. CDMA at 850 MHz would provide better coverage that GSM at 1900 MHz - lower frequency has better pentration no matter the protocol.
  7. They have without a doubt. Not suprising as the GM, president, and for the most part the fans quit also. There are a few players that just don't have the quit gene in their DNA makeup, but the sad part is they are as rare as the FNC being filled with Sabre fans. As a STH it's just so sad to see your barn filled with opposing fans.
  8. Judging by the number of red jerseys in the crowd tonight and the 8 dollar tickets today on Stubhub Buffalo is experiencing a really large number of "life situations" tonight. Hey Ted visiting jerseys shouldn't out number home jerseys!
  9. Whiny Woe is me We are Buffalo sports fans
  10. He clearly is upset with the moves. Not sure if he has one foot out the door or is just trying to cope with the way senior management has come out and given up on the the team and season. Like he said there are 10 games and 20 points left on the table and they need to be professional for the rest of the season.
  11. 2nd and a conditional 5th
  12. Nope not you. He has me to the point where I just tune him out.
  13. Thanks! I thought I seen something eariler that Leopoid was back practicing with the team. Do you know if he can be placed on IR if he's been cleared to play?
  14. Sabres call up Brian Flynn - wonder who's going down? http://ow.ly/ibNNN
  15. It’s a miracle for sure. Just a few weeks ago Ruff was wondering if Leino would even play this year. Fast forward a few weeks Ruff is gone and Leino’s hip is feeling much better.
  16. Ruff to speak to the press this morning at 10:30

Fire Sabretooth too, smelly costume and not the same since they replaced the repelling from the rafters Sabretooth. They need to fire all the runners in the 200 level too, runners HA they are walkers and I don't want to wait for my cocktail. Oh and get rid of the conehead vender what is it 1980?
  19. Can't his contract be tolled by the Islanders if he refuses to report. They can parlay that into a two year 10M cap hit for just the 3 million left on his contract. He could of course retire.
  20. LPF I feel for you. I have 3 sons, 1 Detroit fan, 1 devils fan and the 3rd is a 420 fan
  21. Why would Darcy fire Lindy? Ridiculous season ticket renewal numbers, 3K people paying $100 per seat to wait on the season ticket waiting list. 2M is sales at the Sabre store opening week. The fan base is happy and have spoken.
  22. @BuffNewsVogl: Of five Sabres who skipped practice -- Pominville, Hodgson, Ott, Hecht, Ehrhoff -- Lindy Ruff puts an unidentified two doubtful for Tuesday.
