  1. Had it at the brewery not too long ago. Pretty good. Just picked up some Victory Prima Pils, Great Lakes Alchemy Hour Double IPA and Mean Manalishi Double IPA from Hoppin' Frog. edit - just poured the Alchemy Hour - wow. Very nice beer! 9.4%, From the bottle: 'a flash of Mosaic hops and a kiss of honey malt..'
  2. Agreed. I'm done with the Gov story line. I doubt we have seen the last of Morgan though.
  3. I was wondering when Morgan was going to show up again. He's still 'Hawkins' from Jericho to me though.
  4. I'll might crack open a barrel aged B.O.R.I.S. from Hoppin' Frog during the game today. One of their brewers is in our brew club and he brings all kinds of good brews to the meetings.
  5. Yeah you are thinking of Skyline Chili. Nasty stuff.
  6. Pretty much everything I was going to suggest has already been mentioned. Market Garden is worth a stop for sure and Great Lakes is in the same area. Buckeye Beer Engine is awesome too. http://www.scout.me/breweries-and-brewpubs--near--independence-oh I've been to most of those places on various pubcrawls over the years so if you have any questions about any of them specifically just let me know.
  7. Sorry I missed this. I'm a bit south of Cleveland and most of my recommendations would be based around a brewery/brewpub anyway. Did you find anything good since no one gave you any ideas?
  8. What I liked (and maybe someone else has already mentioned it) is that Stafford didn't have to answer for the elbow on the ice. He may get something from the league but no Bruin went after him for it.
  9. I think I'll watch this game again tomorrow. haha --> Bruins
  10. nice to see us not just letting them skate the puck into the zone for once
  11. Ah - well I don't mind Sulzer. He seems to be fairly steady.
  12. Is Weber playing tonight? I missed it if someone has already listed our lineup for tonight. I want him in the game. On Grigorenko's goal - it was Weber that got a (heavy?) shot through from the blue line. How many times have we seen our D not be able to get a shot through or miss the net? Brennan? Didn't notice him good or bad.

    OT: Hobbies

A couple of other homebrewers in here. I have 5 taps but only 2 are serving anything right now. Haven't brewed much since I built my stainless EHERMS system (so I can brew inside in the winter). Without Sabres games I haven't worried about filling the kegs. I'll have to work on that. I do a bit of photography as well. I'm using the Olympus OM-D E-M5. My flickr is elj4176 if anyone cares to check it out. Might be some Sabres pics in there and pics of my brew system and theater. We also travel so there's a few travel pics in there. I still have a ton of pics from the Iceland trip to process and post. I'll get to that right after I brew again... What else...does DIY home theater and speaker building count? Linux CarPC? I'm a geek with geek hobbies  I don't post here much but I lurk often.
  14. Same here. Look for Sierra Nevada Summerfest to throw in the mix as well. Good stuff. stopped at Cornerstone brewery today in Madison, OH and had their Pils and a Buffalo chicken Pizza. Not too shabby.
  15. My kegs are running low so I may have to make a run to the store and see what sort of tasty suds they have on hand. Maybe some Stone Ruiniation or Victory Prima PIls as was mentioned. Another beer I like that is along the same lines as Eurotrash is Sierra Nevada Summerfest.
  16. Southern Tier Euro Trash Pils and probably my Citra pale ale later.
  17. I'll probably be alone in this one but 'Scourge of Iron' from the new Cannibal corpse has been stuck in my head since it was put on soundcloud a few weeks ago.
  18. I have yet to make a black IPA. One of these days I'll get around to it. I'm not a fan of the Great Lakes Christmas Ale but I'm in the minority. Most people really like it. Dortmunder Gold is probably my favorite that they make. If anyone travels to Columbus for games I would be willing to bring a growler or two to a pre-game beer tasting.
  19. I brew my version because sometimes I am just thirsty. Yuengling is an easy drinking beer and a lot of people around here like it. My version is usually a bit hoppier and a little more malt.
