  1. There have been no less than 60 stink bugs who have met their demise in my house in the past year via this method. Chuckling... just quietly chuckling. Seriously, my house is my house. The only bugs I don't kill are the spiders and that's because they kill other bugs. Anything else gets deported via the flush tube to the septic system where they can help fertilize the great outdoors. Except flies... those hold a special place in my heart. I use the rubber bands from celery to shoot the flies. They are very strong bands, they are very wide, and the very much squash the guts right out of the fly.
  2. Nice. I was aware of their brewery but I didn't have the desire to seek it out. I can probably alter my drive from Rochester to Franklinville to put that at least close enough to the route to stop in and check it out.
  3. I think the players know at that point what they need to do.
  4. The objective is to win. Killing a minute off the clock and THEN getting a man advantage provides them the best chance to win at that point. Heck, they could have skated the puck back out of the zone on the ensuing face-off and killed another 2 minutes. That would have been 3 minutes of the remaining time that Vancouver would not touch the puck. Your opponent can't win if they don't have the puck. Just because your foot is on the gas doesn't mean you are only going in a straight line.
  5. I am using CyberLink Screen Recorder. I have the full Director Suite. I need to update my computer to be able to do better editing but I was able to knock that one out today with only a little hassle.
  6. PA started here.. I'll post it here and it's in his keep away thread. For those who want a quick review of the delayed penalty keep away.
  7. Screw it.. it seemed too awesome not to do. Just for you PA.
  8. Sigh.. if MSG and the NHL both didn't require Flash Player I would get you an excerpt of the keep away game. But they both require the use of that crappy technology so I can't.
  9. I watch how players interact when goals are scored and other events. It usually very business like between those two as opposed to between Eichel and others and ROR and others. Just a general sense in body language interpretation. I have no idea what Jeremy White said so that had nothing to do with it. IN fact I did not even see the event on TV.
  10. I had no issues with Okposo and I still don't. He's looking like a great fit with Eichel. They seem to work off each other really well in pressuring the puck and the passing is generally there as well.
  11. I think PA summarized it well. However, it appeared that Risto was the only one to celebrate the goal. He then went back and gave Lehner a fist bump. I wouldn't think too much on Kane and Bogosian. Kane had some chances and overall that line has had pressure. It might be that the Sabres found a way to spread scoring out to 4 lines just enough that teams can't focus on just two of them. Bogosian might help against better teams where Antipin is serviceable. That said, I like Antipin and his game a lot. I am also pretty high on Falk. He's not a top pair but he's pretty good at making it rough for opposing players and he's not a mess defensively like Beaulieu. I do think the Eichel/ROR relationship is one of those broken things in the locker room. I do think ROR will be moved off this team either at the trade deadline or in the off-season. It's unfortunate because I think O'Reilly is a really good player. I think what we have to hope is that moving O'Reilly nets a similarly effective piece for the Sabres that improves the locker room and the team.
  12. Totally worth staying up to watch. Plenty of thoughts but they can wait until later today when I wake up. :)
  13. At least Risto enjoyed that goal.
  14. Beauty, eh?
  15. Totally enjoyed watching that. Brilliant.
  16. I lied. Still watching. If the team can put in the effort so can I right?
  17. Enjoy the 3rd. I'm out of gas. Super enjoyable game to thus point.
  18. That was nice.
  19. Ok. Ok. Ok. I can live with this.
  20. Because they are in Canada? :w00t:
  21. I should be getting home from youth hockey practice just in time to catch the start of the game...
  22. So much of it is this. Edmonton looked like the Sabres do most nights with their inability to complete passes. They were a mess. I'll give the Sabres credit because they looked better against Calgary as well and the Flames are not the mess the Oilers are. We need to see this kind of effort sustained. I don't know that the bottom 6 can realistically do that.
  23. Unfortunately I think it hurts... the Sharks might be inclined to ride this out and preserve their prospects and picks in the hopes of retooling their roster faster. Kane would give them a last chance shot this year.
  24. Because of the issues with Jack in the past I still find myself watching the back end of the play when the opposition gets the puck and begins moving up the ice. In the past we all knew he was not putting everything into it however I've not seen any of that lately. As is natural, when the puck is moving up the ice, there will be a separation in players. As the opposition crosses the blue line and gaps tighten up I have been noticing that #15 is in the mix, regardless of where he started back on the rush. He's been moving all over the ice as well. It's wonderful to see. What I think really seals the deal for him however is that his scoring has not declined but actually increased since he decided to play a more complete game. So many players believe that if they focus on offense their scoring will increase and if they were to raise the focus on defense it will decline. It's clearly not happening. Pretty sure it took Ovechkin something like 8 seasons and 52 coaches before he decided to play that way. It's wonderful to see because he will be the highest paid player and they'll want to give him the "C". He's starting to look like he has earned it.
  25. Hell yeah. That was worth staying up. Good night everyone. Sleep with your smiles on.
