They also have a hit piece on Crockett, note they said nothing when Loomer was a racist nutbag but suddenly want to go after Crockett now that she is vocally opposing Tesla. Fox "News" is Trump Propaganda. Go check any other new organization right now, everyone is talking about the tanking stock market and the fallout from Trump's disastrous and stupid policies. I checked 12 other news sites and every single one has multiple stories, front and center about how Trump's illogical, dumb, and otherwise stupid craptastic economic policy is basically running the US headlong not only into recession but into global pariah status.

There is actualy an argument to be made that he is better than Martone as well but we don't have enough games where he is healthy. The health is why I dropped him to 9th. I would rather risk Desnoyers being a solid 2nd line center, or Bear only being a 2nd line checker/energy guy, or Carbonneau not finding consistency than I would risk McQueen's back. I am leaving off Smith because he plays defense. I also flipped Carbonneau and Smith because I am starting to really love Carbonneau even though his defensive game needs work.

Puckpedia has a "pick value" and to illustrate the difference between a first and a second, our first is given a value of 31.29 while our second is 5.714. That's a difference of over 25. I would like to know more about how they calculate the values but just for illustration purposes, the 1st if just vastly more valuable.

I think the issue is when Tage or JJP are getting stopped we don't have a backup way of scoring goals regularly. All shooters go through cold periods and we've seen that. Buffalo is a one dimension offensive team still.

xGF% is the division of xgf and xga. To answer your question, yes more shots against would raise the xGA and since Buffalo is not shooting as much you get that discrepancy. The way expected goals work, is each spot on the ice has a sh% more or less. So what is the average sh% from this spot in the ice over the entire league. This, as has been debated here, doesn't take individual skill into account so Thompson shooting from 10ft out is the same as Benson in the metrics. It helps to normalize and adjust for shots. The better models look at shot type, speed, and they are starting to examine pre-puck movement. xGF is basically better corsi because it doesn't treat all shots the same. Teams that are -xGF% (so they are below 50%) are the teams that don't make the playoffs and lose more games. That is the general correlation and takeaway.
