  1. I like Aitcheson, don't get me wrong and agree with you he's something we've not done well getting. If I have to pick between him and Mrtka, I probably lean Aitcheson. We've needed more jam for years.
  2. The AHL roster literally is a mix. It has to be by rule. That's my point. Also how would Helenius or Wahlberg or Novikov being in another league help anything? They're in Rochester to learn the pro NA game. They all had varying levels of success there this season. The AHL isn't like the NHL. The NHL is about 1 thing, the Stanley Cup. The AHL is about multiple things from development to yes, winning a championship. Still, the main point of the AHL is going on to win a Stanley Cup and I actually feel they have a decent veteran mix in Rochester, Laval got better gt and was the better team. Hopefully next year Rochester will improve.
  3. Here let me clear up my stance. The Buffalo Sabres need to find more players with grit and skill combos, that preferably have size. On defense, they need 2-3 new defenders and none should be under 6'1" and they all need an attitude issue. We need more guys with high motors, who don't take ***** and yes, preferably most are 6'3" 210lbs. The Sabres need a pack mentality on the ice, not their soft nonsense response to physicality which dates back to Lucic running Miller. The Sabres simply don't have enough mean skill players. Adams however falls into a psychological trap where he's drawn to personality traits that either mirror his own or he admires. It's why silly Samuelsson and good guy Bryson are still here.
  4. 😆 🤣 that's a funny turn of phrase. I didn't realize that's what is going on, just thought it was Diggs on a boat with multiple ladies.
  5. Helenius would need to ramp up his motor but yes, impo at least.
  6. How the *****, is he supposed to build a roster with more vets when you just ***** said he has a wealth of top draft picks? What do you want? A veteran AHL team or a development AHL team? Also they finished in like 4th in the AHL so how isn't that a winning roster? Especially since everyone but Kulich will be back in Rochester? You're a walking contradiction here. "His team was only good cuz draft picks, but also he shouldn't have found space for them cuz AHL vets, but also they weren't good"
  7. I've explained my position. You're either deliberately using a strawman of your own, ignoring what I've said, cherry picking, or can't comprehend my point. Idk which and idc anymore. I've repeatedly for years talked about how the Sabres need more grit and more heart. Miles and miles of heart. You're gonna be wrong about Zach Benson. I didn't even want to draft Owen Power. I hate Mattias Samuelsson's game. The last part to me is the most amusing because we literally have Rasmus Dahlin and ik his rep on this board is fancy puck carrier but he's as skilled as both players you list and has a mean side. But what, because he's 6'3" instead of 6'6" or 6'8" that's not good enough?
  8. Evan Rodriguez, good for him.
  9. Cool, they aren't moving the Sabres. They want expansion money.
  10. Right yea, couldn't possibly be Canadians are pissed off at ole 51st start Dictator wannabe or his senile use of tariffs... it's just what you said. Of course the Canadian dollar being what it is has nothing to do with anything ole oompa loompa has done, nope. Just a coincidence.
  11. I should amend this. Ideal "forward" size. There's a bunch of evidence that defense is looking at 6'2" to 6'5" as ideal size.
  12. Here's the thing, you trade for Rossi, Rosen and Östlund are basically redundant pieces here now. Rosen already is but, and ik some of you will be shocked, you can't run a forward group of 5'11" forwards. It's just not gonna work. You can fit Rossi and Benson on the roster and Helenius has a chance but adding Östlund and Rosen... meh.
  13. I actually or oddly enough, have faith in Norris.
  14. Yea but the point is there's more depth now than when Benson joined. Eklund would need to beat out, Tage, Tuch, Peterka, Benson, and Zucker and probably Greenway and Quinn, and either Rosen or Östlund or even Kulich who could be considered a wing. Benson just had to beat Savoie.
  15. Was providing you evidence that border crossings are down since you called it conjecture.
  16. https://www.wgrz.com/article/travel/canadian-tourism-down-in-buffalo/71-17a50600-9702-48ff-a65e-42e130778675 https://www.northcountrypublicradio.org/news/story/51755/20250519/border-crossings-from-canada-to-the-north-country-are-down-significantly
  17. Ok, well when it happens you can take a victory lap.
  18. I want Adams to trade for a 5'9" center so bad, just to watch this place lose their *****.
  19. Would be ***** peak Kevyn Adams to trade Quinn and more for Rossi.
  20. Cool story. Also condescend harder next time, it was tough to pick it up with the minimal context clues you gave.
  21. Roll roll roll your eyes, idgaf merrily merrily merrily merrily, I'm heading off to lunch
  22. Actually, in the NHL, there's a bunch of scenarios where size might not help. For example if you get inside someone's reach, it becomes more difficult for a taller player to regain leverage unless they can physically push you away. Ideally 6'-6'3" is optional nhl player size.
