  1. I do miss Belwas and hope they find a way to work him in at some point--I know he's not a huge role, but he does have some very important moments later on, and I'm not sure who/what would replace him in those moments.

If we are thinking of the same moment, you could send Selmy or Jorah perhaps. Idk it will be interesting. I am glad that they are splitting season 3 and I am also glad that they cast the Reeds for it. They are kinda important going forward.

  2. If it's officially split into two seasons, that's terrific news. And I agree with you, there's no way they just drop half of the characters for a full season doing book 4 as written.

I get what you're saying about Selmy, but given the visual/audio medium versus reading text, I think keeping his identity secret would have been pretty hard. I liked how it was done in the books, but I think it was one of those changes necessary to adapt it to TV.

but they left out Belwas... I wanted to see his dirty fatness. He seemed like a fun character. I understand what you mean, it would have been very difficult to keep it a secret but they could have acted like it was even if we knew. I am going to try an find Episode 2 right now. I really love watching these.

  3. Love the show, and the books. I thought the first episode of the new season was particularly good, especially the scene between Tywin and Tyrion. Poor Tyrion...it's amazing with the way his family treats him that he seems to be the only Lannister with some semblence of honor and a conscience. You'd think he would've turned out to be the most evil of them all, given the circumstances.

    SPOILER!!!!

I was surprised that they revealed Barristan the way they did in Episode 1 season 3... I thought it was him in the books but it is better not knowing for awhile. Makes it more fun when he gets revealed.

I don't get to see episode 2 until tomorrow uhg.

  4. The third book is probably the best of the five so you guys have a lot to look forward to this season.

I am in book 4 and the rediculousness of book 3 makes me very excited for this season.

I have to say that they have done a good job with the series even if they have changed some things.

  5. Been waiting all week for this:

My date went well, ended up grabbing dinner and hanging out both Thursday and Friday which was cool. Playing things nice and slow and we will see what happens but it is nice.

SYRACUSE IN THE FINAL 4 OOOOO YAAAAAAAA. Wish I had tickets being so close but I am not dropping 600$ on one.

  6. Content aside, the entire show sounds like it's being put on by a high school A/V club. The microphone noise is totally unprofessional...if they're using stands on a table, as opposed to an arm attached to a surface and unmovable, they absolutely NEED to put some sort of damping material on the bottom of the stands. The sound of the stands and mics moving drives me freaking nuts.

Also, there is some sort of equipment failure - some mics decay as if the power is dying in the channel they're using in the mixer. Most times it's not Sylvester's mic, sometimes it happens on Peters', and it always happens on the third mic.

they sit at a raised desk in the Sabres store so it is not exactly a pro radio booth setting. still I am entertained.

  7. If baseball brings the warm weather with it, I'm all for it.

what do you mean? its 71...

anyways, Matt Barkley is working out for the Bills and I have been told he has a good arm and would fit our system. I think he may be the best QB for us in this draft.

  8. Personally, I can't drink any flavored beer. Same goes for coffee. I do like that Hop Stooopid that was mentioned. Got a 12 of Sam Adams Hopology. It was the worst. Tasted like I was drinking one of those pine tree air fresheners you put in your car.

If you like hoppy beer and can find it, hopsecutioner is relatively good and does not taste like a pine tree.

  9. Do y'all know of any good Irish Reds? I have been trying to find more of those but was hoping for some suggestions.

I have been trying to kill the last keg of PumKing at my favorite bar for 2 weeks... I get it for 2$ a pint. It is a good beer but not something that should be chugged...

  10. I'm jealous, I'm working on the couch. It's not really comfortable to type for long periods lying down.

something long periods probably aren't comfortable something something

Had a date last night, think it went well, hoping to maybe see again soon. Slow and steady.

  11. It happened again. This is the fourth time in the past 18 months that I've received news of someone from my life passing on way too young. This time it was an old friend, someone I knew from kindergarten through graduating high school. Gone at 41 years of age and leaving behind a wife and three young children. Life just ain't fair sometimes. His father in law wrote a real nice tribute to him.

In memory of a Cub fan

I am sorry, my close friends I consider to be Brothers, so I am really and truly sorry.

  12. Sure it is. Who cares?

By some not all. Personally i liked it, but I got the sense that the players felt betrayed by it. Lindy was their friend. Ron has come out of the gate with the attitude of not worrying about hurting feelings. I like that approach even more.

I like it too, this team has been terrible and they deserved to be criticized. When they claim it isn't fair I don't think they have a pot or window for that argument.

  13. Yes he has played really well. I'm hoping he signs a 3/4 year extension at this point, and that means Ott signs a 2/3 year extension next year. These guys are good ones to have on your team. I'm intrigued what has made him play so well this year, i hope it is more than just a contract

Mike Weber is getting regular minutes. Last year he kept getting bounced in and out of lineup and I don't think that works for him. It throws off his comfort and game sense. Also I think Ott being here has helped to mature him more as well. Mike is a hard worker and we need more hard workers on this team.
