Oh *****, you said the quiet part out loud. His secondary assist rate gave me pause. His sh% is probably only 1 or 2 goals over what it should be but he's gotta keep up the volume of shots. Is Peterka a 30g, 45a player with limited defense? Or is he a 25g, 30a player with limited defense? As I said before though, if you're trading Peterka, Adams better be right. I think this trade is missing a 2nd rounder. Again, more than half his assists are secondary. Peterka had 18primary and 23secondary Benson had 14primary and 4secondary while getting less toi. Just some food for thought.

Debatable. The only guy in the 1st round range who profiles in any way like Savoie we're not drafting so I wouldn't worry.

Frondell is 6'1.25" with 0 and I mean 0 transition to his game. He's a shooting center and is more of what we have in the NHL compared to Norris, Peterka, Tuch, Tage... all shooters.

Adams said they build through the draft... so again his words fail to match his actions. If he builds through the draft, why the hell isn't the draft a major major focus for him?

January makes some sense but the rest doesn't. That said, I think Forton basically drives the draft bus and Adams just regurgitates what he's told about players. Also Adams has access to prospects video in shift by shift mode with AI tracked fancy stats. He's got a lot easier job keeping up with them if he wanted but... he's not good at his job.

Tbh, I'm not opposed to them taking a defender. I just think in this specific draft, you'll have opportunities in round 2 to do just that.

Impo, since Buffalo has Dahlin, forwards are much more valuable at the top of drafts than defenders. You can find 2nd pairing defenders pretty consistently in late round 1 and in round 2. But, the Sabres are gonna Sabre and there's a good chance in this draft, at 9 you get the 2nd defender taken. It could really pay off but we'll have to see. It's funny that 6'6" mrtka is "omg his size" but there's less of that with 6'4" Smith who skates better.

Don't worry, bombing ppl isn't socialism and neither is giving massive amounts of money to the wealthy... but free school lunch, that's socialism and we should all be afraid.
