Undergraduate federal loans are all in the range you suggest. I think they went up a bit this year, but they were 3.86% last year. Graduate and Parent loans are higher, and I don't really have a problem with that as the interest from those end up subsidizing additional undergraduate loans. The 12% quote is private student loans which are unsecured and don't have the benefit of the federal recouperation methods.

The near zero rate is for Fed overnight lending with FDIC capital reserve requirements and is a fully collateralized loan. If you'd like your student loan to be due the next business day and require that you have at least 20% of the total amount in reserve cash with other assets fully backing the loan, I'm sure someone will give you < 1% apr. I love Elizabeth Warren, I hate this sound bite.

Moulson-Lord Zemgus-Ennis will definitely be getting the most minutes for the start of the season if Nolan is still around. Kane-McEichel-Gionta will start slightly below them in minutes, but eventually over take them. Either way, we'll at least score 200 goals next season, and while that's not good enough, it's going to seem like the team is scoring all the time because we all have battered fan syndrome.

With McEichel essential a lock to develop into a top 6 center, you're only asking for 1 of 3 top half of the first round center picks to develop into top 6 talent. I like those odds, especially with everything Lord Zemgus has already shown us.

I'm excited that we managed to win this thing without getting any worse than last year (better in fact). Arizona drop more than 30 points. That's one hell of a tank. We improved, and finished with an honest effort. The hockey gods will smile on that.
