That sucks about the rain! Always a risk. I am seeing her outdoors too but it's in Colorado in June...chances of rain very low, but chances of snow at 9000 feet in June are non-zero too.

Week before last I went to MSG for consecutive nights of "The Brothers"; i.e. the remaining Allman Brothers Band members with a few all-star types added in. They played one show with almost the same crew in March 2020 the day before Covid shut everything down. The 2020 concert was one of the best I had ever seen and the two this year exceeded them. With two nights they were able to expand the catalog and relax a bit more and have fun. I've seen Derek Trucks 18 times now in various settings and he was the most inventive and energetic I have ever seen. I saw him smile as many times in two nights as the prior 16. Same with Warren Haynes, actually. Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic) was on drums in the Butch Trucks slot in 2020 but this time it was Joe Russo. This made a big difference as well in my opinion as their styles are completely different and Russo seemed to feed off the guitars and keyboards in a really positive way for the overall sound. Check Leavell was excellent as usual. Oteil Burbridge played both nights and then fly to Vegas and played at the Sphere the next three nights. Quite the band. There are quite a few clips on YouTube if interested.

Is it with Union Station and Jerry Douglas? Please share how it goes. I have tickets to see that one in Dillon, CO in June.

"Respect Yourself: Stax Records and Soul Explosion" by Robert Gordon. If you are fan of 20th century music history, civil rights era Memphis, and/or Booker T & the MG's, Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, etc. I highly recommend this interesting and easy read.

So long as people don't hold them up in front of the person behind them more than a brief time here or there, it's fine. I question some of the videos people take, but whatever floats your boat. Attending concerts is a somewhat serious hobby of mine so I like to take a couple representative videos along with some pictures to document the show for me. I actually go back and watch them from time to time and one day (when I have time....) want to learn how to piece together videos and make montages of various concerts over the years.

What's interesting about Who's Next is that it is the remnants of what was supposed to be Pete Townsend's ultimate opera called Lifehouse. However his idea for it was so over the top in several ways (even today reading about what he was trying to accomplish it's hard to understand how he thought it would work) that it fell apart but we got this awesome set of songs out of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifehouse_(rock_opera)

Hah! I misinterpreted your meaning but, in the process, learned something interesting. This is better than watching a Sabres game for sure.

I've never been to Winnipeg so this sort of interested me. I googled it and it's 179 sq miles vs. 52.5 sq miles, so 3.4x larger from a city-proper size perspective. Winnipeg has more geographic size than Denver (155) where I live but less than Phoenix (518) which struck me as just massive when I last visited.

They’re brothers in the fraternity of Phi Kevyn Ripoff…they’ll never fight each other -
This would work for the Sabres if they paid people to watch.
