  1. The return on this trade is going to be so fckn bad
  2. I can sense that Jack sounds pretty happy to talk about this and he is holding all the cards.....Now they have to draft a center even if they have the #1 pick. He sounds so smug and I can't wait until someone has a chance for the first big hit on this punk next year.
  3. You were NEVER the Captain of this team Jackie
  4. See ya Jack, you will forever be my most hated Sabre so I do NOT wish you good luck wherever that may be. I hope it is in the Division with a bunch of teammates who love to party too.
  5. The whole core is getting shipped out, book it....besides Skinner for obvious reasons
  6. I heard something today that I pray is just a rumor on Eichel.....waiting to see if it's brought up at presser but I highly doubt it.
  7. Least amount of hockey I have ever watched in 1 season, can't believe how bad they still are. Book it, Jack, Risto and probably Reinhart played their last game in Buffalo
  8. I will be shocked if Jack is on this team next year....
  9. That was a great 3rd period but it will be nice when that effort shows up for 3 out of 4 games for a full season. Games like the ones against Boston just won't go away for some reason.
  10. I really thought twice about posting anything as there was plenty more I could have said....I thought this was really all I wanted to mention and it probably sounds obvious/BS without mentioning specifically who said what. The bottom line is that there are plenty of people not happy with Eichel's overall attitude and they way he handles himself. Speaking of the O'Reilly trade, the same Blues person who told me about that one said that Hall was just despised in many circles and that nobody is going to want him after this year is done....
  11. There is an overall sense from players and management alike that Eichel's attitude and leadership ability is pretty awful. The core needs to be replaced but obviously the return can be nothing like that of O'Reilly
  12. Well my friend is also neighbors with a current Sabre and so part was attributed to his thoughts. There are feelings that Jack is quite jealous of how Josh Allen gets the commercials, the praise, and everything else that goes to Allen because of his leadership and the willingness for people to follow him anywhere.
  13. I talked with someone over the weekend that is VERY good friends with Kevin Adams. I think moving Eichel off this team is the only option at this point. The only question left is what kind of return they can get. He should have never been Captain and thinks that he does not need to prove anything to the fans or management. Quite the contrary is Josh Allen, who felt that he had to EARN the respect of the fans and coaches. There are quite a few players on the Sabres who are just counting down the days until this season is over and can't wait to get the hell of of dodge.
  14. How many years do you have to go back where we had a team that actually knew how to pass?
  15. Please go get Tortarella and some players with fight in them during the offseason. The facade is over
  16. I love the royal blue now but man, that goat head team was my favorite in Buffalo sports history. Impossible not to love the jersey because of it.....perfect 3rd
  17. Ottawa was my top hated team when they had Neil and that damn penalty music they would play (doo doo doo doo). That Pommenville OT goal will always be top 3 in my book.
  18. It all depends on if they trade Jack and if they do, I'll take this guy.....no flash and all compete is exactly what this team needs on the ice. Matthew Beniers's Player Profile Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - : "The gaudy point totals won’t likely follow, but he has a ton of translatable skills. Speed and transitional effectiveness to burn." Dylan Griffing Dobber Prospects - Feb. 3rd: "His creativity, elusiveness, and all-around smarts make him a dangerous player every time he steps in the offensive zone, with or without the puck. The one aspect that Beniers gets critiqued for is that he isn’t a very flashy player, but it clearly is not hindering his game in the slightest." Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Jan. 23rd: "The 18-year-old left-handed shot can get to top speed quickly. Beniers helped the United States win the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship as the youngest player on the roster; he was the center on the second line, scored three points (one goal, two assists) and averaged 17:05 of ice time in seven games." Steve Kournianos - The Draft Analyst - Jan. 21st: "Beniers is a possession fiend who has all the offensive tools you would want in a premier prospect, but he plays the game at a fast pace and provides his coach with the useful mix of physicality and tenacity off the puck. If you haven’t had the chance to see him play, you’re certainly missing out, as Beniers sets the standard for both high motor and effort from start to finish." Craig Button - TSN - Dec. 15th: "Great example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Very smart with good skill. Plays everywhere on the ice and in all situations. Makes his teammates team better." Bob McKenzie - TSN - Dec. 15th: "Because he’s playing such a strong two-way game for the Wolverines, his star is most definitely ascending. Scouts are currently projecting him as an NHL second-line centre." Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Nov. 27th: "Honest player with a motor that never stops. Freshman who has already earned the trust of Michigan’s staff." Corey Pronman - The Athletic - Oct. 8th: "Beniers does not dazzle with elite speed and skill. His game lacks flash, but his game also has very few holes. He will become a fan and coach favorite because of his elite competitiveness." Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 14th: "Beniers doesn’t wow you like the other forwards in this range are capable of, which prompts questions about whether he projects as more of a second-line forward than first-line one. But he has produced everywhere he has ever played in line with the best players of his age group, he’s making the early jump to college, and I expect him to have an immediate impact even if he doesn’t put up gaudy numbers." Clare McManus - Dobber Prospects - Sept. 12th: "A 200-foot player who can play physical or produce offensively. He is an explosive skater with strong edgework and mobility. With that he can beat defenders in one-on-one situations, but also use his skating to create space for himself, which makes it easy to see his available options."
