  1. Man I love this sport! Honestly though, my power is still out so no watchy for me.
  2. The bolded part is exactly how I feel. The Sabres just put me in a bad mood and now I am choosing to avoid that feeling by not tuning in unless they are closer to 8th. When they lose now, and I don't watch, it's like....ehh. Since playoffs are not even in the picture this year, my season is over with this crew.
  3. *****, the gig is up. Now you all finally know how I knew everything about the Ryan O'Reilly trade.
  4. Regular season, this applies. When the playoffs start though, I love the sport again. The Sabres are the ones that have ruined the regular season for me for years.
  5. I can't remember ever losing interest in the Bills, even during the 17 year drought. I don't even remember losing interest in the Sabres during the tank years because I always knew something really great was right around the corner. Coming into this year, i thought that the waiting was over and this was going to be step 1 to plenty of years of consistent playoffs. Here we are, halfway through the season, and I got nothin, I mean...nothin. Even if this team went on to win its last 10 games of the season, being a STH after all these years is beyond dead. I have obviously been extremely down on this team over the years, but the last few weeks are different. I will never watch the beginning of the game, and unless Buffalo is up by 2 goals, the tv does not go on at all. How does one go from being one of the biggest fans that I know...to really just writing off the sport all-together? Maybe I haven't, but right now, this is new territory. I have 6 center ice tickets for the game on Friday and none of my kids even want to go. The last 3 games we have attended have not only been losses, but games where the team has been booed off the ice. I fear that coaching is not the only issue with this group. What if all this talent that we thought was on the verge of being stars are just decent hockey players and are way further away than we think. That is a scary thought to me and if it truly is the case, it may be years until I am back. I love this city more than anything and the only two teams I have ever cared about in my life are the Bills and Sabres. I really hope that I am wrong, but something just isn't right with this group and I don't think coaching will solve all the issues. A coach should not be responsible for getting these guys heads right every other night. If that drive is not instilled in you as a player already, you will never get it to surface. Add more players around you will similar drive, this is what you get. This group has sucked all the fun out of watching for me and I never thought I would see the day where it just makes sense to shut them out. It's the only way I know I will not get frustrated, and I don't need that emotion if I can simply choose to shut it down. Hell, I am the person that made Lincoln Station in Chicago a Buffalo bar. If this team can do that to me, what damage has it done to the casual fan.... Go Bills, Go Sabes
  6. Well, you can’t blame me, my power has been out all night, and I was not able to watch the game after all, thank God
  7. First game I will be watching in a few weeks. Apologies in advance for the incoming 3-0 Kraken lead after the first 10 minutes
  8. 53 but I swear, some days, I still feel like 52 Go Bills
  9. I never thought I would care less about a team than I did during the tank years...but alas, here we are.
  10. Yup, that’s where I am. I don’t think I have watched a game in 2 weeks and I have no idea which teams are even doing well anymore. I know that we are so far out of the playoff race that there is no bringing me back in this year…ugh
  11. Honest question, does anyone honestly care what the line combos are? Call me when there are new players…
  12. I think it would be more fun to set the NHL record for the longest time before winning two games in a row
  13. Definitely not, I like the way things are going here...
  14. Rule number 1, never, ever waste your money on a Bruins game. It is the most depressing atmosphere you can witness.
  15. I really love the Bills, like….a lot I love this year and that team, more than others, which is odd.
  16. It would be nice to actually win two games in a row before we can consider anything being saved at all with this trash season
  17. Would be really nice to get out of here without any injuries
  18. I am hosting the Bison virtual Christmas party for my staff tonight so enjoy all. Don't let this team get you down, it's just not worth it. I hope everyone has some time off and eats/drinks merrily for 2 straight weeks! Go Sabes
  19. It feels like one of those games like Boston last year where they went down 2-0 in the first couple minutes and the whole arena was a Boston Tea Party. Have fun Leaf fans, tonight is yours…
  20. The 12 days of ...why I won't watch tonight 1) Even if they win, it doesn't matter. The season officially died for me at 9-4
  21. But that is the problem, this team is built completely wrong and it's going to take moving big names from Buffalo to get the proper players here. I just don't care who leaves as long as it improves our team IMMEDIATELY. I just don't care about players maturing into great players, they already blew that with paying these guys huge contracts before proving themselves. Our GM has zero foresight when it comes to how to develop these people. Levi and Power should NEVER have stepped foot in Buffalo for another year, at least. Dahlin was ALMOST ruined, and now we see that Cousins was spoiled early as well. KA just could not help himself and had no patience for developing anyone the right way. I can't wait to hear about the 8 year 9 million per for JJP soon!
  22. If you had asked me a few months ago, I would have said Dahlin, Thompson, Cousins, Tuch, Power and Levi. Today, I can honestly say that there is not one player, not even Dahlin that I would care about if they left. Dahlin and TNT would make sense to keep (obviously), but depending on what came back, I would leave everything open. This team is so beyond broken and I could not care less what they look like in 5 years, the waiting is over. I would let the entire NHL know that everybody is available and if we have to trade a 22 year future star for a current 27 year old star, so be it. This is currently the worst team in the NHL (again), and there is no end in sight...I mean, no end in sight at all. Hire a veteran GM, let him make all the trades, have him find a coach, and have a completely new looking team in one year. Would anyone honestly even care at this point?
