And as Crosby does nothing for his team to advance, Kane simply does it again in THE most critical of moments. Now there are certainly some arguments to be made for other players, but as far as Crosby goes, what have you done for me lately? Sid was virtually invisible for the entire playoff run (which was once again cut short) while the cream of the crop rises on the other teams (Kane, Getzlaf, Toews.)

Also, that's fine and dandy for you to have that opinion but the way I see it, if there is a thread talking about what your favorite number is compared to who the best player in the world is, I think I'll stick to this one. If you search out all the threads (which are not a ton) that I have started, you will see that for the most part, they last a bit - which tells me there is some interest there (including this one). Now if you really want to know what my favorite number is, it's 11.

Although McKinnon crossed my mind, there is not nearly enough to go on for him. For all those stating Crosby is the easy answer, right now, I don't agree with that at all. Sid has a better two way game but if I am starting from scratch, I would honestly take Kane right now and he is only getting better. If I am the Sabres, I would be doing everything I possibly could (by the book and not by the book) to lure him to Buffalo.

everyone will have their different reasons as to what traits the best must have and in my book, it's Kane hands down. Goals aside, this guy has some of the best vision I have ever seen.now, back to the goals, has anyone ever scored bigger ones in the history of the sport?

Was McKinnon supposed to be THIS good this fast? I am going to stop listening to all these so called experts on the draft and be hopeful that this year's crop of players is not as bad as people are saying. I know Mckinnon was clear number one last year but I am going to hold on to hope that one of these other top guys can shine as well.
