I am reviving this thread, after the recent tragic earthquake in Ecuador, I am going to be volunteering 2 weeks of my time in mid May to help treat victims of the disaster as well as treating patients in the underserved areas of Ecuador in the rainforest. During that time I will have aspiring medical students with Me, to help translate, triage and pass medications. I am paying out of pocket for myself and others to go down and help with this cause. If anyone is interested in donating to the cause, I am working with Timmy corporation as well as Doctors without borders, I am not sure how this works, but I could direct to a site to make a donation or I could solicit the donation personally and make sure it goes to the people of Ecuador while I am down there next month, and allot it to the families/patients that have suffered the most. I am very excited to do this work, it'll make working in medicine much more gratifying compared to how we have it in the developed countries. Any input or advice that anyone here has would be welcome as well.

Well that certainly makes sense, since Boston didn't make the cut, they are my least favorite team in the playoffs. Hoping for a sweep and a Mike Weber goal. Any news on orpik, he certainly appears that he is gonna miss a decent amount of time

Today marks the first day for me to take the bike out, nice cruise to the gorge and do some hiking....it is my first post in the awesome thread too I believe.

Absolutley, I am a mandated reporter, even if that doesn't mean I have to disclose, I sure as he was telling them anyways. They were informed, and I am sure she was charged with something with a statement from me. They took my statement and I haven't heard anything since, so I assume they got her to admit, I can't believe she would tell me that.

On a side note, I watched a compilation of some pretty bad road rage videos today, man that stuff is unreal. 97% of the time if I see an accident, either It occured or I see one on the road and police are there, I stop to offer my services (as I am almost always in my scrubs) one time I stopped in Hamburg for a crotch rocket/car collision.... While picking glass out of the driver of the car, she told me that the guy on the bike was driving like an @ss so she purposely cut him off causing the crash. He broke his femur and had a concussion, plus whatever injuries occured internally that I couldn't see. Sad world. I digress, that game was awesome and then sucked.

Unfortunately, this does slow down the game, and plays right into the opposite of what most would like to see in the NHL, we want speed, goals and plays like that. If players have to adjust, the D men have that little extra to shut it down.

St Louis just got the big shaft tonight, I have no dog in this fight, so objectively I can look back and just see plain garbage.

I just watched 2 minutes of hockey take a half an hour, and in every other year it's 2-2 right now. This is just annoying, right or wrong, it's not worth it

I think there are 7 winnable games, but then again we lost to Jacksonville last year. And there is always one that you don't expect to win but pull it out. I guess I'm being slightly optimistic, ill watch this year and hope like always, but I'm not gonna be crying if we're outta the hunt in late November

Losses: Cardinals, Bengals, Seahawks, steelers, pats x2 (maybe 1), Oakland, probably a loss or 2 to Jets Miami combined. Ravens is up in the air We may steal a Brady less Pats victory, prolly 3 of 4 between Jets and Dolphins, Jacksonville, rams, Browns. I think I'm forgetting one, but yeah, 7-9, 8-8 tops. I have zero faith right now in the bills, sorry you can't go 16 years and expect that attitude. At least the Sabres only suck for a few years and then usually pump it back up. Not to mention the bills are in cap hell and seemingly have no direction.

By then we will be lucky to fill seats... I smell 8-8 at best
