  1. Crazy, you'd think having a private helicopter would be safer than driving in California. I am very curious to see what may have caused the crash. Either way, very sad news, probably no words can do justice to console those affected ?
  2. My girl with me agreed on it also, and she's usually one to find the nicer things when I'm not particularly impressed lol. Honestly I think we may have just had a bad experience, bad timing or whatever you may want to call it. I think if I was 24 again I'd enjoy Montreal ??
  3. The people in general, big city feel but very "hipster/artsy" and overall just not impressive. I expected Montreal-Vieux (old Montreal) to be charming and nice, but really it wasn't that impressive. The city is dirty, full of strange crackheads. The smoked meat was decent and the light show at Notre Dame was worthwhile, but after spending 2.5 days here I would be fine with never coming back again. The outlying areas and Quebec city however, were fantastic. The old town Quebec was quaint and beautiful, the people generally friendlier, the ice skating and overall feel were amazing. Trois Riviers was great, just make sure you know some French as many there didn't speak English, it was fun for me as I know some and got to use a bit. Also disclaimer, I'm not really a city person in general, so I may have some slightly tainted views, but having traveled a ton and being in a lot of large cities I have to say Montreal disappointed.
  4. For as much as I enjoyed Québéc city, I find Montreal to be one of the worst experiences I've had in quite some time! Sad as I was expecting better.
  5. These ice skating trails in Québéc, lacing the skates up and that sound of ice carving through fresh, smooth morning ice.
  6. So eichel didn't win the fastest skater competition!!?? Jbot should be fired immediately for this.
  7. This organ-eye-zation can misspell all the names in backwards Russian or Aramaian, if they start winning and bring the city a cup.
  8. Haha very nice, I haven't seen any braided armpit hair yet. Our plan here is QC until Friday and then head back toward Buffalo through Montreal, staying in Montreal for the weekend. Are you still around these parts!?
  9. 20200121_155256.mp4 The forest trail in Shannon, Quebec. This one was about 4 miles of fresh trail, amazing skating through the woods, so much fun! Also a swing by the Hotel du Glace, really amazing place!
  10. Domaine le foret Perdue is the main one, it's nestled in between Quebec city and Montreal; there are petting zoos along the way you can stop and feed animals and etc on skates, lined with trees and just cool nature. There is also another one in Shannon maybe 25 min from downtown Quebec city, that one is maybe 2-3 miles and is supposed to be very pretty ? Cousin, remember ; not sister, duh!!! And of course, nothing like frenching your family in French Canada....
  11. I had the bike shop set it for me, ill stick with it for a little until I'm broken in, I'm gonna try some aero bars to see if thst helps the position a bit too, so many things to learn about the sport also and a trainer isn't the best feel
  12. Yeah I love that stuff, I remember going to Mingala's lab in Auschwitz and seeing all of the things they did and used for experimentation and that was insane in itself. I think I'll take a road trip to Philly one of these days and see that, plus Philly has a lot of other cool history, maybe in the summer I'll enjoy it sometime.
  13. Damn you, I'm attached to my bike trainer at the moment, sooooo 5 miles of going nowhere with a fan blowing on me and Hulu ??? Also 5 miles crushes my Gooch even with padded riding shorts, to be a rookie
  14. @josiewas the museum worth it? I've had that on my list for a while, and did you have any of the Philly cheese steaks while you were there? Also, Kaylee wants us to all go somewhere together soon ?
  15. Complete destruction
  16. Hey, Terry said he'd drill another well, that could pay for Bogo and his skillllz... As for the injuries, hmmm, cotton cloves?
  17. Driving up to Quebec city in the morning for a week away, can't wait to hit the ice skating trails, 15Km of Zamboni fresh ice through the forests and rivers, little food and hot chocolate stands along the way. Toboggan downtown, and the food; also gonna stop in Montreal for 2 days on the way back. Not as extravagant a trip as some of my past ones, but still, getting away is so nice ?
  18. Maybe we can give Bogo that DJ job in the arena, the current guy is insufferable and Bogo likes that snazz, seems like a perfect fit.
  19. In Glasgow and up in the highlands, I had no clue what they were saying most of the time?? the other parts of the country I was ok, but the Scottish accent is simply wonderful!
  20. That was the most complete game I've seen all season, that 3rd the Sabres were on the throttle. Maybe the dads need to come along more often! They also matched the physicality which was something we haven't done all season. They play like this, they will win the fans back over quickly
  21. Wow, stripes attack The wheels on the bus are gonna fall off
  22. The arena finally got going a little, it's a rarity these days. Pet peeve, after the sick Dahlin move, it went to commercial, some stupid spectrum news trivia, when a replay at that moment would have kept the crowd into it. They showed a quick clip as the faceoff was happening, garbage production
