I think it is simpler that that. He’s not figuring out how to translate what worked for him in younger leagues at the NHL level. Some guys never do.

I don’t think Casey is well suited to wing at all. Reinhart’s game screamed wing to me. Casey’s game screams center to me, but I’m becoming concerned as to whether that game is developing enough.

Mostly A. Would be interesting to see usage charts and see if he’s being used differently but still for huge ice time amounts. I think he’s just one of those guys, like Zhitnick, that has the skill set and stamina for that level of ice time. And he has been the most suited player for big minutes pretty much his entire time here.

I'm on board. It makes sense to limit the high stress situations the kids see right now. You have to increase that slowly, something that wasn't done in the recent past.

I remember when the news reported Lindy and Darcy told the same to Pommers and Roy.

The lack of real mentors all this time has been a big drag on every player.

I've been tempted to search and look through the game days from the early part of the season and the 10 game streak. I think the outlook was pretty similar early last season. Not that this is the same. It may very well be different. But the sample size is still small and we all know how much things tighten up in the regular season come December. It will be different play in another 6 weeks or so. the measuring stick will be in how the team adjusts to the inevitable tightening up.

They are still looking good. I'll take it. That was a pretty back and forth effort. Well fought by both teams. Will be interesting to see how this goes once the regular season tightens up. They have me tuning in on the reg for now.

I'm quite surprised that he's getting as much love as he is. He was a bit of a whipping boy in Buffalo. And Mike Ramsey was very highly respected his whole career. You wouldn't know it by the votes. Points sell these days. Those numbers would have been way in Rammers favor back when they both were on the Sabres.
