Unhappy with the medical staff? To my notion, they didn’t force him to play with his neck injury. So if he’s filing a grievance he has to have proof they did. To me, it looks like they disagree on treatment but he hasn’t been forced to play so there is no negligence on the medical side. And forgive me, but teams are usually the ones forcing or urging surgery so they can get their player back faster. So this is a very strange situation. The more I look into this the more I say Up Yours Jack. He was given the keys to the club and $10 million per and he’s being a little bitch. He’s not Connor and he knows it and I think that does bother him that he wasn’t the teams first choice. Speaking of Connor, don’t kid yourself but had the Oilers not done well this year, he’d be bitching and whining too.

Realistically they should move Jack, Sam and Risto but part of me feels like these guys should want to fix this and they shouldn’t move them. I’m all over the place. But we can’t be much worse by moving them. They’ve clearly not been good enough as a core to push them to the playoffs. And they can say what they want but they were paid big $ and didn’t get it done and nobody can sugarcoat that, especially them.

I like the comment about us being last with our core now. That’s 100% correct. And I’ll say this. I’m sure it sucks losing g but km sure it doesn’t suck cashing in $9 million a season. So while this team may have made many many mistakes, Jack was supposed to be enough to make this team a contender. And he had some good pieces with him so let’s not say he didn’t. Simply put, he’s not even close to being as good as McDavid and Samson is nowhere near as good as Draisital. If they don’t want to play here anymore, too bad. Especially Jack. I go back and forth on both of them. Sam can and will leave after one more year but Jack is on the books for a long time. And this team has paid him a ton, so maybe he needs to earn his money wh cuz he didn’t this year that is for certain. And if he demands out after his clause changes to his teams only, screw him and let him stay or sit. I’m frustrated with the terrible ownership and front offfice but it really irks me when a kid whines about playing a game where he makes $9 million. Jack and Sam have a lot to do with this team not being good enough whether they like it or not. A real pro stays (Jack got the long term deal! and is the difference and is there for the turn around.

He was born in Vancouver and it’s a hockey town so he’s gonna want to play there, I’d bet the farm on it. Peoblem is, Canucks have no pipeline so who comes back?

Sam played well this year especially late but it serves him well to do so. I can’t imagine he wants to stay one little bit. Vancouver I’m sure he’d love to play for.

I just looked at the standings. Apparently we aren’t gonna finish last after all. Not sure how I feel about this. I’m glad they’re playing better but having beat odds at #1 I’d really like at this point.

I think KA learned a valuable lesson, or at least I hope he did, by giving TH a modified no trade list. That was a big error for a one year contract. Had he not done that he probably could've gotten more for Hall. I'm still sad Lazar got dealt. He is such a good young man, I want him to succeed. I worry he will get buried in the press box in Boston. I'm not saying KA should be fired, cuz he seems like he's a good man. I just hope he's not so nice that he's going to get bent over every time he makes a deal.

He finally got to prove himself and now I fear he will be in and out of the lineup in Boston. I have spoken to Curtis many times here in Kelowna and he really enjoyed Buffalo. I wonder how he will feel about this? I’m sure he will be happy for a chance to win, but will he play? I hope the best for him. Not a nicer kid will you meet. Not happy he was moved.

As the losing continues and we continue to hear about the dysfunction within the organization, one thing comes to mind for me. Who the hell wants to go to play for the Sabres? Its already a tough sell for many players but now, all I can see is players that are desperate to find a job, anywhere, will be the only ones the team can sign. And if that’s the case, then that means the team will be picking up lesser than stellar players. It will be a team of Reiders or Eakins and that means a not very good team. So this team can really only get better via the draft or trades. So, this could go on for many more years. Yikes

From the games I saw dis year, it was clear to me dat he wasn’t here for the long haul, and I believe he left his wife and kids in Minny because he knew dis was just a pit stop. Honestly though, I was not impressed with his work ethic in the slightest. I think he showed the kids how not to behave and it certainly rubbed off on them it seems. Step one of changing the culture. Many more to go.

It’s too bad Brian Burke got hired by Pitt a few weeks back. Even if it were short term, he’d have put this team in notice and steered it in the right direction. He wouldn’t have been a long term hire because he doesn’t like to stick around anywhere too long these days, but he would’ve gotten the foundation poured and hired his replacement along the way. And the media would’ve had lots of fun.

It is odd that they loved RK a lot but ended up getting him fired for their inept play. Ive spoken in person to a current Sabre and it was the same thing, love RK. So this team really needs gutting because there is just too much residual effects from the tank. Gerard Gallant better be interviewed for the gig.

Didn’t see the game but I checked halfway through to see who stepped up and kicked someone’s ass for the bad hits the other night, only to see a Ketanf hook and Colin Miller holding call each. No spine from our boys apparently. Guess they didn’t want to risk a playoff spot by being silly out there.

I don’t have a subscription to the athletic but those excerpts are sad. And now we have a GM who’s is feeling the heat to make a move and uh oh is how I feel. We had a GM in JBot who shat the bed with the R O trade. Imagine how badly KA could be fleeced? To you actual people who pay to go to the games in Buffalo, while Covid sucks, it’s the thing that’s saved you money and seeing them live.

Let’s be honest. I hate the Leafs but Auston is a far better player than Jack and only getting better. And Jack wasn’t even close to a league mvp. He’s nowhere near as good as 97 either. I wanted to love Jack but he’s never given me the fuzzies. He’s simply not a generational player. 97 was it! Sadly

Jack has 6 points 5 on 5. He gets the most ice time. He plays with skilled guys. He is far from carrying this team in his back like he should. Skinner is so streaky that he could literally be tied in goals with Jack next game. I’d strip that “C” off his chest pronto. Bo Horvat has a “C” on his chest and has 17 points. 6g 6a 5on5. He leads. And he’s not a supposed superstar. Its over. They are finishing last for sure this year. And if they don’t, shame on the Wings and any other team.
