  1. No interest in Andersson; he did a nose dive last year stats wise and I have zero interest in trading Byram for a rental that we may end up trading at the deadline or having to use as a rental of extreme cost. I'd say Byram is better to be honest but value wise they are likely close if not equal. A 2026 1st with some protection, a 2026 2nd and a lesser roster player. Depending on the offers an offer-sheet compensation could be preferable due to the lack of conditions on the 1st. Terrible targets seeing as most of the players are either rentals who want to be UFAs or Bot 6 guys akin to the Peterka trade. Ideally if you can pull off a Miller-esc trade return you could turn that 1st and Rosen into Rakell and call it an offseason unless someone comes knocking for Muel.
  2. Levi needs to be able to take the time he needs to reach his peak; goalies are also complete voodoo in terms of scouting. Aside Allen who got a rough contract for what he is, Lyon was the best on the UFA market arguably. They all have their warts but Lyon has successfully gone nuts for 2 months and took a team to the playoffs. The only goalie worth inquiring about in trades was Demko but he got re-signed and I guess Silvovs whom might anger Levi and be the new Robin Lehner of Calder Trophy winning caliber goalies.
  3. Dansforth certainly grinds in front of the net which is a major positive to me
  4. Effectively, because they can’t find engaged players for the Top 6 that can fit perfectly into the role; they’ve thrown darts at multiple lesser players who fit the role with the hope it can help push our skill guys just a bit harder. Doan, to me screams potential for Top 6 Power Forward but there are no guarantees when you have to shop in the potential or vet bins.
  5. With how the cap is rising even if he averages 15g,25a per year while playing solid two-way hockey I think it’s a very fair deal.
  6. Solid depth piece; perhaps to make sure the 3 ELCs are sure to work hard every shift.
  7. Who knows he did take Florida there 3 seasons ago.
  8. His value tanked and at least the Amerks will face him less
  9. The only thing I can think of with JBD is arbitration. They want to offer 2x1.25mil and not have to jump through the hoops of arbitration
  10. JBD and Kisakov weren’t qualified JBD better be re-signed or that’s a major issue.
  11. Provorov working on a 7x8.5mil deal with CBJ
  12. No interest in Mercer but the rest aren't bad.
  13. Love Parayko but that trade would be really strange as we'd suddenly have 4 new RHDs as of the deadline and a huge question mark at forward in general
  14. I don't think we can make the money work Voronkov is an RFA looking for 3 to 5mil Provorov at 7.5mil The big thing is, we re-sign Byram and our offense is as is; there won't be any fixes because we all know the team isn't going to sign a splash offensive UFA.
  15. If Provorov wasn't making 6.75mil the past 5 years I'd target him at 6mil
  16. I was meaning who they might be targeting, not all three together lol.
  17. Well that was a tad expensive
  18. Give him a 2x6.85 mil deal and tell other GMs to suck it then My guesses would be Voronkov, Marchenko, and Jenner
  19. Frankly, I highly doubt it; he's more likely to offered something stupid overpay wise than undercut the player
  20. Yes, yes he does. I can blame Adams for being an idiot for a myriad of things but I can't hold Peterka not getting signed as one if there were no negotiations.
  21. Better, by a small margin yes. I read somewhere our project points went from 83.0 to 83.2 for the season. Which is somewhat surprising based on the loss of Peterka but I guess the better defensive metrics we have now help us immensely.
  22. My guess would be it could be a masterful manner of tampering legally. If you request to trade for a UFA in a sign&trade you can talk to the player. He's said he won't do 8 years now so a trade isn't necessary.
  23. The Sabres don't swing for the fences; they play small ball. But play a very fine line style of small ball where sac flies are not allowed. Could it work, certainly; but it isn't exactly common.
  24. 2026 1st would have to have some protection Benson isn't regardless of trade You'd be looking at moving Byram for futures than turning those futures and a prospect to get Robertson effectively.
