  1. I can most certainly agree there at this point; I gave him multiple mulligans and it never panned out. He will make an occasional good move and drafts pretty well but has seemingly no ability to form a consistent playoff team and has had plenty of time to do so.
  2. Actually I was busy doing something else with no time to give an actual response. The Reinhart deal wasn't a disaster; Florida definitely got exactly what they wanted but we also got pieces back that have high potential. A disaster would be the ROR trade to St. L had Tage not suddenly blew up into a great player. A trade doesn't have to have an immediate benefit to not be considered terrible. The situation that led to Reinhart being traded was what required him to be traded. Adams gave him a 1 year deal, in part due to COVID, and Reinhart refused to sign long term that following year. We could of kept him for 1 year and ran the high risk of him walking in the ensuing offseason. If without COVID the Sabres still chose a 1 year contract; I'd be far harder on them but none of us have any way of knowing that. Adams could of very well desired to sign him long term but with COVID issues arising was told to keep contracts at 1 year. I'm also sick of waiting year after year for the newest crop of rookies to "save us" but I have no willingness to play Russian Roulette with 4 bullets in order to try and risk everything for 1 run.
  3. Why has that happened to us 3 or 4 times this year? Honestly we have absurd levels of bad luck.
  4. They can ask all they want but it isn't happening.
  5. I'm still holding firm at Cozens + Byram for Petersson and that is supposedly the price but apparently Adams might be asking for more back; he better not pull a Botts and strike down a trade for some sort of insane issue with receiving an extra piece.
  6. SF Giants 2010, 2012 and 2014 are directly my favorite MLB team however my passion isn't quite what it is for the local teams The NY Giants Super Bowls versus Brady are my Dad's favorite team winning and the same goes for the Blackhawks so they are both my 2nd favorites
  7. If that's their ask then I just don't see any reason to even entertain the offer. Petersson's possible boost over Thompson is no where near worth a 4.5mil+ increase in salary as well as other assets. For it to make sense from our standpoint, we need both Thompson and Petersson at the other end of the trade. Frankly we'd just get worse seeing as Cozens would apparently secure the 2C until Kulich can outright bury him. Its the grass is greener on the other side type of approach with Cozens. Cozens and Byram have ties to the area and are likely thought highly of. To Vancouver they may see Cozens as merely being miscasted or misled. Never underestimate the hubris of a GM to fix someone.
  8. I would hope lightning strikes the GM if he made that idiotic of a trade. What we always have to trade away our top scorer? Or is it just because you hate Thompson?
  9. I loved a Pens fan offering M Pettersson for Jokiharju and a 4th Get E Pettersson for Cozens and Byram Pettersson reinforcements and we’d have 30 games to figure out an extension with Marcus to be Power’s partner.
  10. I'd do Cozens and Byram but as I've said before our 1st is off the table without Top 5 protection
  11. Honestly the rest of the trade makes some sense; but the Chicago part just seems underwhelming for all that their doing facilitating the trade.
  12. More or less accurate, there's a UDC Nils Juntorp also involved. The part I can't wrap my head around is what exactly Chicago got out of this whole mess. Apparently they retained 50% of Rantanen and traded Hall to Carolina for their own 3rd back. Not exactly a coup
  13. The only issue there is he’s no longer trying to be bad by all accounts. Though it also shows that Pegula does have some degree of input on the team. Especially after watching Tim Murray’s goaltending carousel
  14. The Sabres mean quite a bit to me; in part as my great-grandparents were part of my original reason for becoming interested in the team.
  15. Oh I'm furious but would never want to lose my team; no matter how bad it may be. Buffalo loses far too much and losing the hockey team would just be another knife to the gut.
  16. If we sign our guys I doubt the apparent internal cap will play any part in it. Pegula has shown plenty of times he's willing to pay out the bucks to players. He just hates paying anyone not to be here and/or will look for contractual circumstances that may have a cheaper way of paying it.
  17. Maybe its because you aren't in Buffalo anymore but for those of us still here its location is also paramount.
  18. I doubt we survive another dumpster fire season; they've burned every last bit of good will into ash then shoved it into an atomizer.
  19. Wouldn't consider it a meltdown tbh They gave up 1 goal on a triple deflection then their PP did absolutely nothing until they gave up 2 ENGs I do however agree that it was certainly a winnable game
  20. What a ***** joke, never be aggressive with this team; they are incapable of doing it right
  21. Seems like they have no default option in those cases. They like putting their D in jackpots
  22. So let's see; we had at least 4 sticks broken in the 2nd 1 or 2 cost us a goal against 2 cost us good scoring chances VAN's goal was a pure lucky bounce Where's Zucker?
  23. Only if the team stays is that a viable option
  24. There's a few players who seem invested in the Bills Tuch is an obvious one Dahlin has really become a fan with his friendship with Dion Dawkins A few other players definitely have a passing interest
