  1. You wound me 🙂
  2. I’d first offer 8 for Cirelli
  3. Neither deserve him and I hope the Leafs crash and burn this offseason.
  4. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1911956 My newest version of the team. Cap Hit is around 75mil with Salary at about 73mil give or take
  5. Danault would be my primary target if Cirelli is out of the question.
  6. I actually would have to agree; while I'd imagine the Pegulas are trying to lessen their losses I don't expect Terry to turn down the opportunity to make the team better. If anything Pegula could have very well told Adams to go after big fish but not spend recklessly. Botts was so damn stupid its not even funny. I'd love to understand how Thompson, Sobotka, Berglund and a 2019 1st equated to or came close to (2018) 3rd Overall, Danault and Poehling in his mind. Montreal's 2nd Danault and Poehling should of been countered with either Danault, Poehling and a lottery safe 1st in 2019 and their 3rd in 2018 Ugh just ugh
  7. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1911552 Made some moves and figured out a way to make a pretty nice line up at under a 75mil cap hit which happens to include the cap penalty.
  8. Not a wise trade as it not only makes our opponent stronger and us weaker even if I like Danault. If you trade Reinhart you need to send him out west and then use other asset types to acquire Danault from Montreal. Not to mention Danault has only one year on his deal and we cant afford to trade Reinhart for him and then lose him due to ridiculous cap stuff.
  9. You should know by now that nothing ever works as we hope. We just need to get lucky ....
  10. I'd say probably to some degree. Once the Sabres were officially eliminated the Pegulas saw the fact they were going to be going about 9 month without much revenue so they decided to cut as much salary as they could.
  11. The good news is that pretty much the entire league is in a similar boat so we won't be alone or in a case like Florida or Arizona who hemorrhage salary all the time.
  12. Begs to question what the hell is going to happen around the league. How in god's name do they plan to fix our team....
  13. Here's my proposals https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1908663
  14. Technically we take on 7 mil because we send back 7 mil Slight change, MAF has 2mil retained
  15. I came up with Hutton, Johansson our 2020 2nd and 2021 4th for MAF and Stastny Hell, add the Risto + a little for Letang and while we will have got older we would certainly have a new bloc of players with a large amount of experience and it would certainly change how the Sabres look.
  16. At those numbers I'd do a 5 year deal. Maybe 6x7mil would work as well. Reinhart is a great player, just not 9mil great. (Neither is Skinner for that matter)
  17. He’s not a 3LW unless he’s in a completely winger inundated team.
  18. Technically he’s a 2/3 LW Olofsson is a 1/2 LW Kahun is a 2/3 RW/LW/C Kahun could be a C but I certainly wouldn’t put him there intentionally aside from injury coverage.
  19. He’s 33 at 7.5mil for 2 years Risto is at about 2 mil cheaper for the same 2 years. This type of move would immediately help a Dahlin as it would give him a former 1D to learn from. It’s the same rationale as going after Pietrangelo or Keith but on a much shorter term. Yes he has injury concerns but I don’t care at this point; our defense is made up of scraps from other teams, mediocre disappointments and youngsters with potential. Even if he just teaches stuff to Dahlin and Jokiharju we are better for it. If he’s healthy we’d have a legitimate top pairing and with a 2C we’d have a legit shot at being a playoff team. That was my rationale behind the idea. The only reason I thought of it was because some Pens fans were saying Rutherford would likely screw up and trade Letang for a Ristolainen. (I think HFBOARDS and CapFriendly are far too negative towards Risto regardless.)
  20. Risto for Letang anyone?

    So #8

No, Reinhart is as good as Ehlers thus making moving down and the extra 2nd make 0 sense
  22. I'm thinking Alright here's what I came up with for now. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1895879
  23. The playoffs require you to at least have some players who will run others through walls when all else collapses.
  24. I'm meaning physically hard to play against. Copp and Cozens would be the only guys willing to hit anyone. Ok, using your idea I've formed a team but am at a loss at what else to do. Not to mention what the heck is Larsson going to want for his contract?
  25. Honestly, if you swapped Ehlers and Copp's position I'd be fine with it. (If Ehlers were a Center and Copp was a Winger) But to me a true 2C is far more worthy of throwing around a 1st than a high tier winger. Skilled yes, but softer than a baby's bottom.
