While he likely takes a hit every year, I highly doubt he’s any worse off because of it. The team’s value has inexplicably increased since he bought them and optics wise selling the team without locking it in Buffalo forever more would make for terrible optics for the Bills owner. Another benefit we do have is the NHL’s dislike for moving teams; they kept us around 5 years without an owner and we just saw what it took for Arizona to move. The biggest money grubber in the league is Jeremy Jacobs who happens to be from here and quite literally gave the Knox’s dibs on the team. I highly doubt he’d be a promoter for moving the team. Lastly we do have the advantage of being close to Toronto without being Canadian which means monetary value is higher as a given. Plus it prevents anyone from moving in on the Leafs monopoly since we have a mutual interest in blocking any 2nd Toronto team.

Ceci has been in the East with multiple teams and has been a train wreck

Vet Defenseman to play with Power A new defensive assistant coach Power's defense was better when he came up from college than he is now.

We have a few players who are good at neutral and offensive zone defensive play. As in breaking up passes, forechecking and blocking entries. The issue is once they get inside our zone we have a great struggle removing them. Tuch is ok, Greenway and Benson are likely the best position ally and McLeod is a solid chaser. Only frequent talent is shot blocking which is actually alright among our forwards.

Would of loved them too; I had grown tired of Trump after the Biden election.

Trump has utterly fumbled Ukraine but I also see the result as more or less inevitable regardless. Russia will get what they want or we'll have WWIII. Mind you, this isn't for a lack of effort or intelligence but rather the most basic of things; manpower. Ukraine can't hope to out recruit Russia and with North Korean troops joining the fray they are even further behind the 8-ball. However the bigger issue is actually due a specific quirk of Russians; they lack a desire to keep their soldiers alive. If Russia cared about their troops, we could hypothetically funnel supplies into Ukraine with the idea that on defense you will likely kill far more of the enemy than that you yourself lose and that with nigh-WWI style warfare the Russians would be forced to the table after terrible losses. The issue is they don't care, Russia could lose a couple million lives taking over a portion of Ukraine and it would not phase Putin the slightest.

Being a conservative this hasn't been a fun time for me either. I had to vote for Trump, granted its worthless being in NY, primarily to put an end to all the BS political correctness and the war on Western Civilization being waged by the many idiots in the country who believe in moral relativism and that the European/American world view is evil. No culture is perfect, but being demonized for thing that were done in mass by the very same alternative views they support is complete idiocy. That being said, Trump has bumbled and stumbled everything with foreign affairs and it irritates me to no end. Targeting Mexico in an attempt to stop drugs and illegal immigration makes sense. Alternatively targeting Canada is plain idiotic. I don't get his strange obsession with aggressively trying to annex Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal although I do understand the underlying reason. (As the north pole shrinks the shipping lanes will become far more viable for global travel and we own Alaska. Greenland and or Canada secures us both the in and out portion of the route while the Canal is obviously another shipping lane of both military and economic value.) His sheer botching of the Ukrainian War is a travesty; again the intended result of the war ending is a good thing but he's done everything wrong top to bottom. DOGE is a great idea on paper and I had high hopes for it; sadly it seems far more akin to a guy in Vietnam hacking through the woods with a machete versus a strategic elimination of the idiotic things the US Govt funds abroad. Why couldn't the Democrats just ran a competent moderate who desired sanity, less absurd social reconstruction and wasn't a wannabe Socialist? That's all I have to say, just needed to vent a bit.

Frankly, no matter how bad ownership and management are I have zero sympathy for a guy requesting a trade 2 years into an 8 year deal in which he signed. If he suspected trouble he shouldn't of signed for 8 years. This too -
Dahlin Met With GMKA, Turn it Around or He’s Gone

Makar is effectively the McDavid of defenseman Dahlin would be in the more traditional star/superstar level as would Q Hughes. -
Hatred might be a strong word for Berglund; more akin to offended or disrespected would be more accurate. I did however hate how he came in to be a good influence for the players and the many young Swedes we had supposedly followed him around like ducklings. For him to just say FU and walk off and then apparently try to make a comeback the following two years certainly gained my ire but hatred wouldn’t be accurate. Taylor Hall and Eric Staal will always feel swarmy to me as both came here talking about good game only to mail it in until they were dealt. One of the only players I ever hated as a Sabre was Slava Koslov due to his rather visual disdain for the team and city as well as him being the return from the Hasek trade.

I highly doubt Cozens wasn’t friends with most of the team. I could imagine however Cozens having in game quirks that wore out its welcome over time. Essentially a number of players likely started to feel that either Cozens was dogging it or was holding them back as whole. But due to their friendships it likely took far longer than what a competent GM would do. -

On Dahlin’s comment, he certainly seemed happier, as was Ruff, by their immediate reaction to Kulich’s hit. -
