highly doubtful, someone would have spilled the beans by now to be the first to report. Most likely it's quiet cause they have all made their offers to each other and decided to break to go back to work on the draft with their teams til later. I wouldn't expect things to pick up soon, with deals involving picks for tonight going down and others that may not include picks going down later, possibly after some dominoes fall in the draft

I don't think it matters with TM,if he wants someone bad enough he will pay the price, he doesn't seem like the GM that will haggle to get the cheapest deal, everyone knew the jets were done with Kane and wanted him out of the locker room, the sabres were one of the only teams willing to make a move at the deadline for him cause they could let him sit for the rest of the year and didn't need him to play then and I would say TM overpaid in that deal instead of trying to haggle and take advantage of the jets. He seems to be the type of guy who will pay what he needs to in order to get who he wants. I think he doesn't want to give it up because he wants it available for another deal later, to either move up or get another NFL ready player

Do you think that Pens or Blackhawks fans care if the team gives up a 1St rounder to get someone that will help them continue to win, or that their farm club may not be overflowing with talent? As for the deal, if they want 8 and I was TM, the ducks better sweeten the deal and make this a blockbuster. I would make the deal if they included Gibson and we gave them Lehner to even out the goalie move...... (And yes I know they aren't moving Gibson, but if I'm TM then I start shooting for the moon and start including him, getzlaf or Perry......)

but do they really see him reaching the end of that deal? Unfortunately, todAy there are mY teams in the cap era that will be selling to take on a bad contract or 2 for better picks or prospects to reach the cap floor while rebuilding or just trying to stay above the red. Usually, one of those teams was the panthers though.

Rumor has it the Canucks (auto-correct keeps changing it to chicks, lol) plan to go hard after Lucic Wonder if Miller will demand a trade? They may have interest from the Flames........ Would be funny to see Lucid go to the Canucks, play on a team with Miller in a place he blasted because of the way he was treated when he came back home (as a bruin beating them in the cup finals)

I was thinking today I could see Reimer in Calgary, no one looking for a starter is looking for Johnson outside of some Sabres fans....... Rumors were the pens want Calgary's first for Fleury. They were going after Anderson also before the Leafs snagged him.

I believe they are playing a preseason game or scrimmage in St Catharine's against the leafs who are holding some of their prospect camp and games in Niagara Falls and St catharines

Don't could be very intriguing for the leaves, being able to sell a home town kid who's the son of a former fan favorite. Add in some additional picks, like maybe next year's first and it's possible the leaves could go for it if they could also get Stamkos

I don't see anyone outside of Buffalo thinking Entity is anything more then a mediocre/backup goaltender. He went to the Kings and is now complaining cause he thought he would get more playing time behind Quick. Someone will bring him in as a potential backup with the "chance in training camp" to compete for a starting job

I have heard rumors of a potential Niagara date (possibly St Catharine's or maybe NOTL again at Butlers Barracks?) And the 'killer whale tank' version had been a staple in 97.7 for years in Niagara. The rant makes no dementia the song but is hilarious that in the middle of the song Gord would just go into that tangent for a few minutes and tell this story, then right back into the song.....

Definitely came as a shock to read this in the paper this morning. They are one of the few bands left that I have not seen live but wanted to. I was supposed to go when they did the huge show a few years ago on Canada Day in Niagara on the Lake but everyone who was supposed to go with me bailed leaving me to lose a bunch on tickets. I wasn't as big of a fan of their new stuff but they were definitely one of the most recent iconic Canadian bands. And they loved hockey. Gord IIRC is a Bruins fan even wore a home made Bruins sweater in the courage video. But IIRC I believe he did a show in Buffalo and had a Sabres Jersey on one time

I thought either his, or Golisanos deal included the arena when they bought the team? Peg does not own the Ralph, his deal was only for the team and Erie county owns the stadium.. I disagree with changing the banners, like them or not, those colours, logos and uniforms are part of the teams history. Changing them would be like trying to wipe out history. There's no reason to be embarrassed by winning banners.....

It's technically the fifth name change if you count the original proposed name of Crossroads when they were building it. I hate the constant name changes to new corporate names...

I would hate Tkachuk only because I just watched him destroying the ice dogs in the OHL finals for London...... I was there the other night watching him score 32 seconds into the game then whining to refs the rest of the time.....

"isn't it coincidence, don't ya think?".......it just doesn't have that same ring/swing to it to make it to the top of the charts. I blame Dave Coullier......
