I heard on and off all day. Mostly Bill's talk on the regular sports shows. Murph and Tasker talked about buying seasons to Sabres as a group! You would expect more hockey focused talk the day of the Sabres season opener since not much happened with the Bill's today.

They can raise the banner for being the 1st 31st place team while retiring Eichels old number..... Just hope they dont do too much of a celebration, might offend the Bruins and Marchand who will attack them once the puck drops.

Marchand is a class act and should be the standard that we teach our children to look up to. You celebrate and hurt an adult millionaires feelings you should be expecting a violent response and attack. The Capitals should have been apologizing to the Bruins after every goal they scored for making them feel bad. Marchand has always been a kind and loving player on the ice, even kissing players the same way a puppy would kiss someone with their tongue. If anyone should have a hearing with the NHL, its Eller for scoring!

MLB does it too, I'm sure the NFL is the same. They also do it for the playoffs

Hopefully the Sabres dont have anything celebratory going on tonight for their home opener, Marchand might take offence to it and jump a Sabres once the whistle blows.....

Is MSG able to be picked up using one of those digital HD Antennas? Recently I thought about something like that if it would work for those of us that are on the other side of the bridge and blocked from getting the closest hockey team geographically to us but instead are forced to have to watch the nauseating gloating of fans planning their cup parade which they haven't had a chance to see since color TV and photographs came into existence......

I have one name Miller When my wife adopted it they had it named after a sparkly vampire from one of the worst movie series to have be created. I told my wife 'not a chance, I know where they got the name from' and then she suggested Miller.

Thats saved for when they are in Vegas in the next few weeks.

And none of them seem to mind when they cash their lucrative paychecks. And we are talking about hockey players here, how many players outside of some of the old "goons" ended up dying early? Geordie Howe, Jagr, there are guys who have played in games at much older ages then other sports.

Owners care about their players probably as much as the players care about their owners in pro sports today. The owners cate about the health and safety of their players because that's how they make their money, by having them play and play well which they cant do if they arent healthy. And unheathy/injured players cost them money because they are paying them for no production while they heal and have to pay for a replacement. It's a business. There are some owners who take a more personal approach to their teams and players personal lives, and some that dont. Just like some players may have a more personal relationship with their owner and the owners family while some may view their relationship as a boss/employee level.

SJ is said to be trying to sign Karlsson to an extension and its believed he is willing to stay there. They are definitely going all in and are the west favorites for the cup....

i don't know if anymore big moves will be made between now and the start of the season, but I could see Sam eventually being moved for a decent package He seems to me that he is going to be one of those "Good but not great" kinda players, like maybe a Vanek, where he is over valued here expecting him to be a super star but vlaue by other teams as a decent/good player to fill out a roster.

yeah, I would assume that it might be because thats not going to well for him that he decided its best to step down. or he realized prison is a better situation to be in than working for the Sens?

NBC is in a tough spot cause they have to balance the schedule with what will bring in the highest rating for them. Because they arent representing on local team, they have to try and figure out what a national audience that ranks hockey as its 4th-5th rated sport will tune in for. Will people in NY tune in to watch the Canes take on the Coyotes on a Wednesday night? I'm surprised they still do the schedule so far ahead of time and not chose a game a week or 2 in advance from what is lined up for that day. It wouldn't be hard to look at a schedule 2-3 weeks ahead of time and pick a game from the schedule to broadcast for that week?

I think that seeing Chuck losing his marbles is more important to the show then Mike, from the previews for this season it seems that Chicks death might be the big push that turns Jimmy to Saul.

And it's been confirmed that the 'Golden God' will be back too in most episodes. Also sounds like Mindy Kaling from the office and her show on fox will be joining the show. Not sure if it's full time or part time. I was hoping that since AP Bio was such a horrible pile of crap that Dennis would be back, looks like we get lucky even though NBC must be so desperate that the renewed AP Bio......

I cant see him taking a 3-4 year deal at his age unless they are overpaying him alot. He is still young and can cash in now with a long term deal that will have him looking for a new contract before his mid 30s. He has enough of a resume in the league to get something long term in FA if the Sabres wont do it
