  1. you can be discourteous if thats your stick, just be careful if you think you want to try kick the crap out of a stranger . (a crime in all states) It is always a good idea to be courteous when interacting with people in any state. Had he reacted without the street cred bull==== they fill young black male children heads with he would be alive. a tragic ending. for both of them. . The lesson... if you feel as though you want to drop a guy and kick the crap out of him, for what ever imaginery, justifible reason you think you have,,,, rethink it, some people carry weapons, even in NY. Try a little non threatening verbal exchange first. My thanks go out to my president for making this yet another raciallly charged situation, when in fact it was a simple self defense case. Thanks for that head nod to al sharpton, the media, the justice department and the rest of the race baiters mr president. Oh! when do you think you can find the time to have your party fix the war going on in South Chicago and Detroit where hundreds of black children get killed every year.Or maybe you can find the time to figure out how to fix the Sanger law so that the next two generations of inner city black children do not get aborted like the last two did. .
  2. And it is not terribly smart to pop a guy in the head and then try to pound the crap out of him in a concealed carry state without knowing if he is carrying. A youthful, testosterone driven, flawed self image type of mistake .The whole thing gets defused by saying , Hi my name is Trayvon , i am here visting my dad, would you like to meet him, he lives right over there . Tragic
  3. generally speaking , i have found the people who reside in concealed carry states to be more civil and cautious in a confrontational situation... a kid who made a grave mistake and an adult who probably should have known better than to place himself in that situation...., two silly mistakes, tragic ending.
  4. Kool aid imo. Neither Vanek or Miller will bring a top five pick or equal or better value.. The sabres will not finnish last BUT they may win the lottery..lol..The top five spin hereis . great stuff. but winning the cup is about so much more than top five picks..important , can be. but just one model..necessary, no, nice yes? ask Detroit. If the Sabres cannot bring in mature, skilled, established NHl players to fill specific holes, and that is their eight year history, (excluding Hoff/ who probably admits in private he made a mistake and Reggie , who ran at his first oppotunity) it will not matter how many 1st five children you have and what they grow up to be.You can go on for years without winning. Teams who know what they are doing maintain their competitivenss. Complete ground zero rebuilds, more often than not, are an indication of mismangement imo .No team should have to rely on getting top five picks to win or use the we have to get worse to get better excuse. How many top five picks do the Sabres have by they way? Do you think Vanek or Miller will bring significant or equal assets when they leave... Odds are against it imo? This team can compete now with the right 4-5 established players. Can mangement find them and get them here. History would lead me to conclude ...no...Our GM sounds a lot like our President. nothing is his fault and we will have to suffer to get better...lol I
  5. lol there are teams in the nhl with some of those guys who have actually won the cup and others that have done it with no 1-5 picks lol The consensus here seem to be we need first round players in diapers with potential and that everything will be ok in three years when 50 % of them learn to pee in the toliet standing up...vs going out and getting the four or five nhlers you need to compete and blending your children with them as they are ready to go. who knows maybe one or both of our skilled players resigns at the end of the year when they make the playoffs. SAME PROBLEM IN BUFFALO OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
  6. Yeah, they told him what they told Vanek, Pom and Miller six years ago ..We are going to get the guys necessary to go after the cup, the skilled players are coming.lol
  7. agree and he falls over a lot and gets up slowly. (I do that too ) ..old, tired, cheap ,past his prime and on his way to the HOF..perfect for the Sabres and apparently other posters too.. some of the same ones that tell you the Sabres have to get younger and that Vanek and Miller are past their prime. lol thank god his agent said the Sabres were not on his list.
  8. +2 I have read all the post season posts and concluded that, to get better, you need to: 1. get worse. 2. suffer 3 finish last 4. draft in the top five 5. get younger. 6. rebuild from the ground up (architectural reference) 7. eliminate all vestiges of the old core? (think this is a nuclear related reason or possibly a apple reference) 8. trade you most skilled and productive player (Vanek) 9. trade your best goaltender who steals ten games a year playing behind a crap defense (Miller). 10. rebuild from the ground up 11. have faith in your GM 12. have patience 13 believe that all of your 18-21 year old prospects and draftees will become NHL quality players and be able to compete with elite teams. 14.believe that established NHL level skilled players are more interested in money than wining and thus will come to Buffalo 15.find the perfect captain because captains are important (for something) 16.never overpay your skilled players because it makes some fans jealous 17. bring in some older and less skilled players with character (i like stephen wright) than the ones you have to get rid of (see 7 and 8) so that you can get younger , better(see 5), have more character and have somebody to teach the 18-22 year old prospects about NHL hockey and show them how cold the ice is. 18.read Dark Sabres posts .///lol I am so confused. Probably because I am stupid and not an insider
  9. Wrong insider..lol they low balled him.. He got pissed off and walked away ... he decided to leave and when Ott went back to do undo the damage and accept the deal he originally wanted , Alf had already moved on and was negotiating with another team. The GM and the owner got their signals crossed.
  10. Save your energy. LOL The players and gms do not seem to be knocking down Darcys door to do business.
  11. LOL your perspective may change half way through next season, especially if Vanek and Miller are traded early. D-1 hockey will be more exciting to watch.
  12. lol....+1 we need a fatty I loved the Bruins Dallas trade. I am sure Darcy has one bigger and better than that in the works.
  13. Briere said wants to go to a team that has a chance to win a cup within the next two years . I doubt that he will select Buffalo as a destination.
  14. Agree.... He was probably our most inately intelligent president and a good man. Unfortuantely ,a terrible leader who until 2009 held the record for grave economic and foreign policy mistakes committed by a modern president. The father of the radical islamic movement.
  15. You are fun to read hockey wise but you should leave economics alone Wait till you electric bill and your health insurance goes up by 20-30% lol
  16. Not my president ...sorry. he is just to polarizing of a figure and far too corupt for me to say that (for the first time). he and his legacy belong to the people who put him there
  17. that would be the icing on the cake..lol burn the 16 on a 100-1 shot ..lol
  18. and the Buffalo Sabres select!
  19. I am dying to wait until fucale hits his prime to see him play... I do wonder if the Sabres will still be in Buffalo in 2020 when that happens.
  20. The NSA would appreciate it. lol
  21. Yes there is a premium , we can agree there. Not sure i am on board with the concept of letting miller and Vanek go so easily and then offering nursing home patients more money to play here in a day care operator type capacity. With players. it is more often than not about winning, as much as about the money. So the younger part of your list is probably beyond reach even for a premium . I am sure some of the nursing home patients will be very interested in watching the kids for a few years if the money is right . [
