  1. Take the time to look at Pitts numbers in the last ten games .3.0 a game is not an offensive juggernaut. All that matters is the Sabres are losing this game on a soft goal. If this was Lalime many here would be screaming.
  2. Glad Pitt is as offensively challanged as the Sabres
  3. sekera has killed two good rushes with bad passes so far and coughed the puck up twice in his own end so far.not having a good game. Lindy can not figure Lindy out. His number one line puts together three excellent rushes in a row, two of which sekera kills with bad passing decisions in the offensive zone and Lindy breaks the line up? I think he should yell at them on their first power play.
  4. first real scoring chance for Pitt produced by a defensive break down followed by a ....SOFT GOAL... period one ends with pitt getting two scoring chances and the Sabres three
  5. agreed on Gerbe....they will need four to win tonight but so far line 1 looks great when Andre is not playing with it ,line two good and three ok too... ...11.59 and no real scoring chances yet for Pitt..another good sign.
  6. It is Enroth .Kiss this one goodbye. First shot on goal and Enroth goes down when the puck carrier crosses the blue line.Good news is Sabres have some nice posssesion in the offensive zone.
  7. Enroth is a .890???? goalie in the the ahl with a 3.00+? gaa. You would have to be drunk to start him over La Lime, but then again these are the Sabres. Lindy and Darcy are in charge. No chance tonight if they start him.
  8. In the future the announcers should refer to the Saber’s power play as a the “PP” .That would be a more accurate description of what is actually going on. It will also be interesting to see how many of his own players Tyler will try to kill tonight on the “PP”.
  9. I watched Miller give three softies up in the last few games and you guys are on Lalime because he gives one up after having not played in a decade. (ask Lindy why he has not played him. He has had a chance to watch them both (Enroth) and already knows Lalime is better). Give me a break. It happens. It is called goaltending. Lalime gave one up . Get over it, he will. Miller will give up a few dozen more softies before the season is over. He will get over it too. How many big saves did Lalime make to keep his team in that game before he had his mental lapse? Please, please do not try to tell me Enroth is already a better backup. He is not. There are no starters or backups better than Lalime in their AHL stable right now. None on the horizon. The game should have ended 3-1/4-1 Buffalo but it did not. That is not a goaltending problem. With Miller wounded, possibly for an extended period with groin and knee issues, it is time to find some more offense with a playmaker to pair with Vanek and Ennis. A big scoring left winger would be nice also. A two line threat, oh my. What could the Sabres do with two lines of offense! They are going to need it if they have to play the backups every night. Mr Roy deserves his own shoot first and often, no passing line. Roy,Conolly,Pomminiville,Stafford, and whomever on the number two line.
  10. No, the team does not suck!.It will make the playoffs, but it does have major defensive problems and they are not going to grow out of it. I laughed when i heard that come out of the announcers mouth. It is one playmaker (80-100 pt guy who can also play the point on the power play) short of having two lines of offense. God forbid an opposing team ahould have to think about matching up their defensive pairs against a two line team. We all know that Darcy will not address these two critical flaws. Roy and Vanek do not belong on the same line.
  11. two words.."Sling Box" if you travel a lot put one on your extra tv cable box.watch your tv from anywhere in the world.
  12. that would be a mistake if this line continues to play this way...
  13. rarely miss a pass..and they are fast. it looks like their fourth line does not match up well against the sabres 4th
  14. Thanks for putting this post up Prospect. My guess is you either coached, play, or played, rare here that the comments are informed observations actually relating to the game. Some semblence of a power play would help too.It has been two years. I think it is time to maybe experiment and move Vanek out of the slot on the pp, the opposition has adjusted. Maybe they should let him operate from the outside a bit where his hockey sense can be used. Spacek would be perfect as a replacement. Plus it will keep Myers from trying to kill him. When will someone teach the kid when and how to shoot on a power play I agree, the Sabres need a playmaker to pair with Vanek. Especially one who can function on the PP. That is the single most important move they could make. It could change the season and with two lines to worry about it would be hard for the opposition to continue keying on Vanek. Good forbid the opposing coach has to think about matching up against two lines.
  15. THAT IS HIS RATIONALE! CORRECT. amazing is'nt it
