Could it be the federal law>
-
Maybe the one you need to get into any federal or State goverment office building? , or for that matter, into most private office buildings with security in a major city, or perhaps the one you are required to show to a police oficer should he ask for one, cross into Canada and return, the one you need to pick up your child from daycare or you mom from the nursing home, or the one you need to legally carry a firearm, buy a hunting liscense, to enter and drink in a bar,get into a x or r rated movie, buy booze at the grocery store, you need to learn to fly a plane, or the one you have to show to take a college entrance exam,or your Lsat's or GREs, or apply for any proffessional liscence , join the military, obtain a passport, get on an airline, sign for alcohol shipped through the mail, or the one you have to show to prove age for a property tax exemption, take a cruise , get a bank loan, lease a car, insurer a car, pick up a certified letter, obtain a college transcript in person from your alma matter, the one you need to show the school district when you enroll your child in a public or private school , or the one you have to show to register to vote in some states, get services from food stamp, unemployment insurance or housing assistence programs, or apply for, welfare, medicaid, medicare or social security.. I could go on with a few thousand more instances where you are required to produce an id if asked but that would not make the point any clearer. My uncle used to get ten dollars a vote in Brooklyn. The political clubs would bus them around to different polling places and they would vote as many as ten times a piece in every election. There were hundred of buses paid for by the unions. I once watched them vote the mentally ill and retarded children from creedmore in a close gubernatorial race at 10:30pm. None of them even knew their own names. It is still common practice to pay minsisters large sums of money to turn out their vote for a specific canidate. I think Carl Rove once paid them not to. In every state that has done a voter certification tens of thousands of registrations are never returned in the verification process. People still vote with addresses that are vacant lots or do not exist. The dead votein every election.

I agree completely... all true. I should have taken more time with my post..Two factors. 1.The new rfa provisions of the negotiated agreement are probably part of the delay no doubt (other guys have noted this) and his agent really does have to hold until he knows what his clients status is going to look like under the new agreement .(i do not expect the rfa rules to change but who knows) 2. The Sabres center situation is equally important as far as leverage goes, imo. This is not young mr kennedy. Lets say nothing changes RFA status wise in the new agreement . If the Sabres do not want to give him the deal they need, I would opt for a scenerio that gets my client into this crazy market (offer sheet wise) as soon as possible.(especially if it is in a year when Pom and Vanek are in departure mode). It atleast has to be seriously discussed as an option, I think Ennis, if he changes his style to become a bit more aware and contact adverse can survive and have a a 50+ pt year as a second line center. Do you think there would be an offer sheet on the table for him next year if he did? What's a 50 pt 3rd center worth in the market or even a young 20 goal + 50 pt winger who is 20 wht?, can carry the puck and has great speed ?. I also know some players are risk adverse especially the married ones.. Young Mr.Ennis should not be,IMO He needs to get his deal or hold pat and survive one more year. The market is crazy.
-
I think he gets what he wants.. no other option.I just do not think the Sabres can aford to let him walk..Getz next year is a pipe dream, just like Nash, Doan, Parise, and the rest of the dream list were.

From my perspective Ennis’s agent has a ton of leverage in this situation given the Sabres’ dilemma at center. It looks like he may be using it all. Five centers of which two are rookies, Cody , Ennis and Ott as a backup. Not one guy on the current roster that would play above the third line, as a center, on any other above average NHL team and Ennis is the best of the bunch skill wise. The Sabres did his agent a huge favor by trading Roy away prior to signing him (Roy was the only legit two on the team and a competent fill in #1). If i was Ennis agent and could not get the deal i needed i would gamble and ask for one year ( two at most) given what guys like him are getting these days. The fact that Pom and Vanek will be in departure mode in a year given their mobility in a market like this, only makes Ennis more inpotant a year or two from now.. Lots of leverage, 3-4 legit top six forwards, and no centers to maximize their potential. The best of an average crew is a great place to be in this scenerio. I think he gets what he wants.

Have another drink :P on me

Looks like you may have discovered another Black Knight.

The only people that matter in Europe are the Germans, the English and the Poles! :w00t: Although most English citizens do not consider themselves to be Europeans.

Actually the exit polling revealed that the enactment of Obama care was the number one factor leading to the landslide., followed by the economy and then the usual suspects. That election wiped out a signinificant numbers of southern and consevative democrats who were required to vote for Obama care. Some have noted that this may not have been an unintended outcome. Rumor had it there were a lot of wide smiles in the White House after the defeat. The conservative democrats had long been a thorn in the side of the left . They now have complete control of the party and the President has the House to blame for everything. (which they have done for two years).
-
With all due respect Bullwinkle, debating you is a bit like the intellectual equivalent of fighting the Black Knight in a Monty Python movie. It gets boring after a while chopping off all those limbs. There comes a time when we must just move on, leaving you to hop around on your one remaining leg, screaming all that 99% jargon into an empty room. Back to hockey

"'TAKE YOUR CAMPAIGN OF DIVISION AND ANGER AND HATE BACK TO CHICAGO'..". :P Post something interesting about the Sabres will you! Lets talk about al of the Sabres playing in the KHL this year because of the lockout

An excellent point, they are all parisites. IMO the big difference appears to be that the democrats act more like paristoids , they eventually end up killing their host. The republicans are more like the common fleas. This type of parisite takes what it needs from the host system reproduces and leaves before the host is destroyed to begin yet again another life cycle.

A President has a bit more power than you may think Sabre especially when his party controls both houses; Look at the power Mr. O had with both houses to hurt the economy with spending, Obama Care, regulation, and tax policy? How about: Not spending a trillion dollars on contracts for his political and union friends? Repealing the single biggest drag on the economy. The three trillon dollar Obama care program? (had the court struck this law down the President would have been wining this election hands down because the employment numbers would be zooming. It is the single biggest impediment to recovery, followed by tax policy and then debt.) Not raising taxes on anyone until a plan is in place to recodify the tax law and the economy begins to recover? Attempting to balance the budget with reductions in spending? Tort reform? Stopping the money printing press (supply up +18-20% in last three years) so that you do not need a wheel barrel full of money to buy a loaf of bread in 2014) An end to quanitative easing? Reducing the 13 trillion in outstanding debt the nation has accumulated?. Implementing some real energy policy as it relates to new oil and gas exploration and new liquified bed coal and nuclear technology? Putting China on notice regarding their trade and monetary policies? Securing the borders? Adopting a new immigration policy? Passing the first budget the country has had in four years. Not cutting the defense budget by 40%? How about weekly conversations with the leadership of both houses? Lowering the corporate tax rates so that overseas investments made by American companies can begin to return? Keeping government policy out of religion? A little less envy, greed, class warfare and race in politics. A little more truth. A return to civility?

Perfect. I guess somebody has to tell them what to say and think.
-
You sir use a lot of red 1% type rhetoric. but thats ok . NY is a good place for you...i still like most of your hockey posts . Let the envy, and class stuff go. You will feel better (FYI i am not a big fan of either guy, probably will not vote (i do like Ryan) but i do not envy or hate any of them)
-
Just for the record... not that the law or the truth matters to some here , Mr R has or shortly will, fullfill the federal election law requirements as they relate to the release of tax returns by presidential canidates.. The sitting presidents isssue, Mr Oh!, is with Mr R's unwillingness to release the last two hundred years of his family and friends tax returns ,which are not required by law to be released. My guess is that they will suffer the same fate as Mr Ohs! college transcripts, and his birth records. (sorry could not resist)

Good point...laughter here. fyi ...you will see that new presidential quote in play within the next few days/

My opinion is not based on what the conservative commentators think, nor the liberal ones for that matter. I have a friend who runs a major polling operation for the democrats . Once a month we talk and have an honest discussion of what the tabs say in his most recent polls. He is not optomistic in any sense of the word. We will all know more after Labor day/ when things start to gell . Historically,at this pt. the President should be above 48% approval wise and up by 5-6 , registered voters,in the swing states. He is not. We both wonder what happend to the VP. You cannot let him debate Ryan. Right now there are far more scenerios where they lose, than scenerios where they win. All contingent on neither party making a fatal error. We both agree that if a fatal error is made in a debate the President will make it . His most recent quote (following you did nnot build that) of..... equal opportunity, equal outcome , or something like that is far to close to Marx's famous quote. If i was Ryan I would ask him if he was running as a communist? just for giggles and as a tit for the tat of the murder add.
-
You are correct sir. Their sampling methodology is generally more precise than the partisan jobs done by Quin , Reuters,PEW and Harris et al.. Real Clear Politics average of a number of bad polls does not provide an accurate picture imo.l This election will not be close in the end. Watch the swing in October.
-
Thank god NY, the most expensive and regulated state in the nation, will not play a pivotal role in the outcome of this election (or any other presidential election for that matter) No mistery here. Our electoral votes are already counted . On the positive side none of us will have to watch the vast majority of the campaign adds. I am, however, shocked by the number of people who just absorb the rhetoric on each side and then repeat it as the truth. The old W.C addage remains as true as the day he said it.

Who would have guessed you would let him teach your children! He just composed a four paragraph recitation of every White House talking point used in the last four months replete with their inaccuracies ,lies, distortions, and erroenous assumptions. An interesting insight into the ability of the people we put in our classrooms, to teach our children how to digest factual information, objectively and draw their own conclusions. For the record, there probably should have been some quotes in his statement. 1.” True, Bain had nothing to do with her insurance” Does that make the ad, a premeditated lie? 2 ” considering the non-truths and half-truths of some of the Romney ads” And they are? 3. “Although he lied about that to the SEC” FYI lying to the SEC is a serious Federal crime. I wonder if Bullwinkle has ever been involved in a CEO level transition in a major company and understands the mechanics of same , as they relate to required SEC filings. 4. ” Yet he doesn't want to talk about his governorship.” I wonder if Bullwinkle has ever watched one of his stump speeches because he mentions his experience as Governor of one of the most liberal states in the nation, with a democrat controled legislature, in many of them . 5. “Romney is perceived as a rich elitist out of touch with the common man” Just a “wow” on this one. Not to me BULLWINKLE, and probably not to the majority of people in this country. Is there an overtone of a little class envy, in this statement? Hmmm ..Who else uses envy, greed, race and class warfare as the tenants of his political campaign? Maybe we should just call Romney , bourgeoisie? 6.” Everything in life is perception” Perhaps a quote from “Warriors of Love” 7. “To admit that he has so much money that he pays a smaller percentage of taxes than most Americans enhances the 1% perception” “Most Americans” as in the 50+ percent that pay no federal income taxes? The fact that more than 50 % pay no federal taxes invalidates your most Americans statement. Most implies a majority. 8.“he pays a smaller percentage of taxes” ? Based upon the returns that have been released to date, in full satisfaction of the Federal Law, it appears he has paid more taxes and donated more to his church in one year than most of us will pay or contribute in our lifetimes!

Frightening huh!> Two, two word options. "Home school" or " Private school"
