Hold some salary???????????????????? If Minn is smart they would do a three way and let the Sabres figure it out latter or wait for him to go ufa after he is traded.. Vanek gives them two lines of potent scoring...a better pp and a playoff producer.. Bet he would would resign immediately with them for the chance to go home.. I would rather see him in our division so that he could come back and play us a few times...It would be fun to watch especially against Myers or Hoff. If he ends up with the Rangers, Bruins ,Detroit, Montreal, Pitt or NJ we get the best of both worlds

FYI ..the Sabres have been, on average, a 2/3 rds of one scoring line team for the past six years and for most of those years they lacked a pp . Our 2/3rds of one scoring line played every shift against the opposing teams shut down lines...Blaming Vanek, or Pom or Miller for the Sabres record over that period is just plain stupid. They all over performed given the system they were part of and the surrounding cast of characters they played with. One might conclude that , given the number of one goal games this team lost this year it may not be a good idea to trade away 50% of your proven offense without an equal return Trading Miller or Pom or Vanek at this time is silly but well within the realm of posibilities for Darcy.
