I’m a diehard Sabres fan and have been for 50 years. The Sabres would be on my NMC. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near a team with the Sabres ownership or with a management that continually points to the future as the time to expect wins. Pegula continually hires newby gm’s and for players,careers are short. Its a disaster and everyone within the league as well as fans know it. Sure, Tuch wants to be there but he’s an exception.

If I could possibly blame this on Terry Pegula I would.

You just described a perfect storm of good fortune. Things will fall somewhere in the middle when you account for injuries, dumb luck, sickness, regression, etc. what this team needs to do is study the best PPs in the league then study what other teams do to stop them, then study how the best PP will counter the teams that stopped them. Its not rocket science I mean just look at our team and the people running our PP. They never seemed to adjust anything and I can almost guarantee they never looked outside to research the methods the best teams employ. Aside from trying to stop them in game.

It all starts at the top. TP and KA are joined at the hip. The meddling is real. They employed a coach and to a lesser extent a coaching staff that were unprepared and underperformed. The team they iced was constructed with inexperienced players in vital positions and given the hard asignments that they couldn’t handle. Add to that the training camp debacle and the 3 headed monster and the injury to Quinn etc etc etc. its a shitshow. KA has an opportunity to fix this, i don’t think he will get it right.

We have no choice but to give him more time. When his time is up we’ll know it. Hopefully he at least gets them a spot in the playoffs. Its anyones guess how they’d do but watching the current playoffs the roster as its currently constructed wouldn’t fare to well. They are not built like the typical nhl model. Maybe KA can break the mold and have success. I have my doubts.
