  1. I don't have proof but I think it makes sense he'd like both teams to win.
  2. That press conference was brutal. It's no wonder we play exactly how he talks.
  3. I'm certainly willing to get disappointed but it's not because of believing in something that isn't possible. I don't have a ton of faith for obvious reasons but the opportunity is there. So you believe Pegula bought the Sabres for that reason, with no proof, and I need to check myself?
  4. No doubt, we're all frustrated. Especially since a little bit of hope seeped in because of last years offensive output. We are an embarrassment and no one likes to be embarrassed. The thing we differ on is, I do think Pegula cares. I mean even from a business standpoint, he would. I'm pretty sure, he'd much rather win. What's the upside for him to not care, especially if it's a hobby. This can turn around my friend. It's critical that the next set of decisions are made correctly. We have talent, cap and prospects.
  5. I feel relaxed and that the tension is on your side of the table. Because he thinks Kyle makes them slightly better.
  6. I'm aware trades aren't forced onto either team. Would the word slightly better make you feel like you won?
  7. Nothing to lose moving on from DG. We gave everything we had and what we have isn't enough and it's not a talent issue totally. We're just too use to floating around.
  8. Toronto is relentless. It's periods like this why my interest in Ruff is there. We're trying to keep up but we're not use to playing this hard.
  9. Can you ever just take a breathe?
  10. I was kidding. Yeah, we've been there. Our boys are 1.5 years apart and we were paying over 16K a year for childcare when she was making 28K. We made it through with the end goal of her getting to that retirement. Crazy that we're 4 years away.
  11. My wife is a teacher of 24 years in Charlotte NC. They make approximately 60% less.than teachers in NYS. So if you'd send us the $13, it would really help. Yes, we pay for supplies too.
  12. It doesn't bother me anymore that athletes make a lot of money. They are part of an entity that brings in a certain amount of money and they receive their part based on their value to the team paying them. Kind of like Actors/Actresses. I had friends and family that would say they're not going to the movies anymore because they're sick of how they act and they aren't supporting that anymore. Then I mentioned look, you're not paying them millions, you're paying $13 for them to entertain you. Put it into context. BTW, what athletes go through is actually quite brutal. You complain about Von, yet if you think for just a minute about what happened to him and what how difficult that was, to then hurry up and get back on the field, it's not for normal people.
  13. I don't post enough for anyone to remember me or know what my sentiment is. I will tell you I'm an "eye roll" fan when it comes to blowing everything up and firing everyone. I respect the injury issues and that it's valid. However I just don't get the feeling DG is a coach we'll regret departing from when it happens. I like him and I think he's developed a handful of guys. However, we don't compete every night and I'm bothered by it. We had some forwards have career years and still missed. I don't get the feeling things are or would have come together had the injuries been less significant. For me, it's not about squeaking into the playoffs and I think DG could do that. I want to compete for the cup. I totally get that the roster must have several changes/additions. As I mentioned, forget that Ruff was here for so long. I think he's the type of coach to elevate the compete level without the players hating him. Which could be the case with other available veteran coaches. I really don't see the downside, because, I just don't see us holding our heads in our hands saying how did we let DG go. It's time for change, IMO and Lindy is the type of coach I'd do it for.
  14. I'm really surprised at the amount of posters against it. Lindy is a legitimate NHL coach and we need that. It's not about nostalgia for me, I don't care about that. If Lindy shows he still has the desire, I'd go that way. When the Bills sucked, we were in this constant cycle of not knowing if it was the players or the coach. I'd like to eliminate one of those. Let's be honest, we like DG but we're not going to ever say, oh man we let a great coach leave our building.
  15. I've never once thought Skinner only cared about his stats.
