It wouldn't surprise me if he goes to Chicago. They can easily afford him and look at who he can learn from. I'm calling it now he's not coming to Buffalo.

If he signs with Buffalo I would be shocked. Believe me I want him in a Sabres uniform but you have two teams that wanted to sign you and you want to sign else where. You want to be in the top 6 of the lineup. You need to earn that first. I hope they change this rule that him and his agent are exploiting. It's needs to change that if you were drafted and don't sign then you need to be put back into the draft.

Why do I have this feeling he's not gonna sign here. But hey at least Murray gave it his best shot. No matter what Murray says about Buffalo as being a place where talented players want to come. I don't buy it unless crazy money is thrown their way. I still think the majority of this team needs to be built thru the draft and they should have a huge scouting department if that's what it takes.

If he signs with Toronto after all this then we know the kid can't make his own decisions.

What I mean with other deals need to be made is if Vesey signs another player or players get moved sooner than later.

I want him to sign here but I don't believe a top 6 role should be just given to any and I mean any player without earning it. This kid hasn't proven anything yet. Yes he won the honey baker and played in the worlds but that still doesn't translate to success at the NHL level. If he signs in Toronto then we know his father makes his decisions for him. Any other team then it's his preference on who he wants to skate with. The only thing I don't like about this situation is giving a kid a top 6 spot when other deals need to be made.

So what's everyone's opinion will be if he signs with someone else or Toronto?

And if he goes there the rich get richer.

As much as I want him on the roster if he signs with someone like Chicago or a cup contender I will be pissed. Don't get me wrong I get it but I think he would get the most out of teams who are still rebuilding who can place him in that top 6 role and power play guy. Buffalo needs to go to Boston with Murray, Coach Byslma, and the Pegula's and get this done and if nothing comes out of it then he can #uck off.

If Vesey doesn't sign with the Sabres and still plans to test free agency then I hope somebody lays him the out.

After watching him play this season he looked uninspired. He's got talent when he uses it

I agree. I didn't want him to use us for more money and then sign in Toronto.

After looking at this trade more it sounds like they really wanted Asplund and to do this deal to move up require Pysyk and the two picks. I still think Psysk is a better steady d-man than Kulikov is. Little shocked by the deal. But if you really wanted a player you sometimes have to overpay.

I'm not sure if I really like this trade. Pysyk is solid d-man and I think we got taken on this deal.

I'm hoping Murray can get this deal done. It definetly got more interesting since he plays with Jack and they train together. It's really not much risk in losing one of the thirds when you still have 3 left. If Vesey signs before the draft which I hope happens that might alter the Sabres #8 pick unless Murray is still looking to move up. I could see Ennis, Pysyk and Girgs plus the #8 all involved in a deal.

I'm hearing Las Vegas Black Knights

It's going to be great having a team here in Las Vegas. Your telling me you wouldn't want to do a trip to the entertainment capital of the world to see your team play. I know they will be bad the first couple of seasons but it's going to be great for this city and hockey community.

Me too I think he's better than Matthews. Plus remember wasn't the other Finn who will probably go third overall leading the world juniors in points. All 3 seem to be top end talent. It will be interesting what Murray has up his sleeve on or before draft day.

I absolutely would love Tkachuk but don't think he will be there. I think it's going to be that Russian defenseman or possibly Nylander when we draft and I don't know if Murray takes either of them.

This is what I think. If Nylander is sitting there I don't even know if Murray takes him.

. You think the Finnish defenseman will be off the board before we pick? Plus do you think Edmonton moves that 4th pick for a proven d-man?

I think he makes a pick in the first round. How $hitty would they be to host the draft and you trade away the pick. Unless something just blows him away.

Now if your GM Murray and both of the defenseman are off the board besides the Russian defenseman. Do you think Murray picks him as it doesn't seem like he is big on Russians. I'm hoping the Finnish d-man is there when we pick but I highly doubt it. Who do you guys think we grab or do you think Murray gets creative and moves up a few spots.

I'm a fan of Laine and the other two Finns. Laine is going to make Toronto think big time.
