I can tell you that almost every single hockey player in Vegas has been rooting for Vegas so I guess you have a lot of bandwagon jumpers. I was there too wearing Sabres gear but let’s face it one organization knows how to do things while the other one seems like it’s a revolving door

Wow I have heard of one issue before and some idiots heckling other teams fans but sorry to hear about some idiots ruining your experience. I was there in my Sabres gear and no one said to me.

We shall see. I’m a big build thru the draft type of guy but you better have some great scouts and some serious eye for talent. You look at Buffalos drafting they hardly hit on players outside the first round. They need to be finding players all throughout the draft. Then you make a few shrewd trades here and there. I have to admit Murray was a risk taker and he tried to speed up the rebuild but he gave away too many high picks along the way and really didn’t have the eye for talent. With the first rounds picks almost any of us could have made the Eichel and Reinhart picks.

Fair enough but just stating the facts about why it’s been bad for way too damn long and it’s a shame because Buffalo fans deserve better. I will say this much at least Pegula is trying to fix both franchises. Does he finally have the right people in place? Only time will tell. I’m super happy that Buffalo finally won the lottery cause it’s about damn time. The draft lottery in sports is stupid anyways. I get it but it’s a tough sell for your fans as it’s usually not a quick turnaround.

I’m still a Sabres fan but Buffalo has been brutal to watch for almost my whole life. I moved to Vegas in 89 and was still a diehard fan until we got the Knights here. I still like the Sabres but come on. Ownership issues, personnel issues, GM issues, player issues. They had Scotty Bowman and they get Barrasso, Housley , Andreychuck and all get traded away. They finally have a great team in 99 and they don’t go out and get more offensive help with the best goalie in Hasek. Then you let 2 of your best players walk during free agency and then you wonder why this team has issues. Do you want me to talk about the Bills because besides the Jim Kelly years the football team is like the San Diego Padres a complete joke. If ownership doesn’t want to spend money to try to put the best team available out then why own the team. You make way more money when you are winning and people want your merchandise. Yes you have people that were put in positions that probably should of never been there in the first place. I know at least they tried to spend to the cap some years. I don’t know what happened with Bill Polian when he was here but they have had some really bad coaches, GM’s and players ever since.

Who in their right mind gave Bieksa a NTC is beyond me. He’s a stay at home defenseman who is slow and Yandle has defensive issues in his game and isn’t that great.

Don’t know but your telling me that these GM’s didn’t have time to make moves with their rosters so they wouldn’t have to lose a key piece. They all knew the expansion rules far in advanced it wasn’t like they couldn’t have dumped these players during the season.

I could see Pittsburgh losing Fleury because they could only protect one but they could have moved him for something else and let Vegas choose another player. All these GM’s had time to make moves with their rosters and didn’t. I’m getting tired of hearing gift wrapped players. Go back and look at who Anaheim protected. Vermette and Bieksa. Maybe their no trade clause was an issue but let’s face it both players are garbage. Look at Calgary we chose Engelland which we didn’t have to because he would have signed here anyway. We could have had Brouwer, Stajan, Versteeg, Stone or Elliot. And use them for trades later. Nashville protects Jarnkrok Florida protects Yandle and Petrovic. Minny protects an aging Pominville St. Louis protects Reaves Toronto protects Martin Washington protects Eller who has been third line material Winnipeg protects Lowry who is invisible Go back and look at the expansion lists. You guys can see for yourself at all the blunders. Sorry you watch this player in practice daily you have to have a clue of what he brings. It’s like when Vegas claimed Carpenter off waivers from San Jose you can see what he had in practice and that made Leipsic expendable.

I hope you have attended some games here in Vegas because if you haven’t you have no clue of what your talking about. I have been at almost every game this season and the only idiot fans I have seen all season were Philly fans. Yes their are idiots in every building. I remember games at the Aud where there were more fights in the stands then on the ice.

Really! First off nobody here in Vegas wants the Raiders at all. You have no clue to what your talking about. All I see here is people that are complaining because one teams Management and scouts did it right and a ton of other teams Management that has absolutely no clue.

Agree and so did Fletcher from Minnesota and then you look at Anaheim they were so worried about Manson and Vatenan that they let a better defenseman in Theodore go. You people can complain all you want but Buffalo has 40+ years to figure it out and they still can’t. It’s on the owner, management, scouting, and the players they have had. We had a great goalie in Hasek and didn’t get enough scoring when he was there. And why is that. Every team had more then enough time to protect certain players and they didn’t so who’s fault is that. We can all agree after the team was put together during the expansion draft most felt they wouldn’t be the worst team but definitely not a playoff team. Besides Pittsburgh, Nashville could have protected Neal and let someone else go and chose not to. Like I said before that is piss poor management. Look at Buffalo we all knew it was Ullmark and Carrier that was going to be picked. Both were practically minor leaguers. Their was a handful of teams that got it right and a handful that didn’t and they got fleeced. Nobody’s fault except their own. A lot and I lived here since 89. I’m shocked at how the team and community rallied around it. This community loves the Knights, now the Raiders on the other hand not so much. I don’t even want them here. All of us that play hockey are in shock to see what is happening here. Besides the games being sold out the practices are chuck full of fans watching. Go look at their Twitter Page on the days of practices and you will see the stands full and standing room only. Incredible

You want to know why Buffalo sucks look at Management and the scouting department. Yes it might finally be better but you have to find players in other rounds. You do know their a tons of Sabres fans here in Vegas including myself but just stating the obvious. If you cant deal with it then so be it. And by the way I have been a Sabres fan since the early 80’s.

Don’t be jealous that is what Buffalo has been in both sports since practically their beginning. That’s what poor management and poor scouting looks like. Nobody that lives here in Vegas gives two shits about that guy. That’s what I said about Buffalo for the last few years. No energy, no drive and they play a style of hockey.

Yep, everything you said is true. Too many teams with really bad strategies and McPhee fleeced some and could have fleeced more in my opinion. Minny could have just let them pick whoever and they would have been fine. Their were some teams who didn’t have much to choose from like Arizona, Carolina, San Jose, Winnipeg, New Jersey, Detroit and even Buffalo. We all knew Botterill was going to do a deal to protect Ullmark. McPhee built this team with character players and these players work hard. Only questionable move right now is the Tatar trade.

I agree. What people don’t know is they were having mock drafts here as management almost monthly. They have some good eye for talent here in Vegas. I have been saying for the longest time you can blame 2 teams. Florida and Minnesota. How do you give up a 30 goal guy making league minimum. It’s not like their coaches didn’t see these players everyday in practice. To me that’s piss poor management. If Florida keeps both they make the playoffs. Giving Tuch away for a 4th was like what Regier did in his early years. The guy that didn’t want to trade unless he was getting the better of the deal. I even thought they would be a non playoff team before the season but wouldn’t be the worst. I still think McPhee could have fleeced more teams then he did. Hey we don’t know how long this ride is going to last but all these players have had a chip on their shoulder all season. Schmidt, Miller and Theodore have been awesome and all young. McNabb has been a steady stay at home defenseman. Engelland is playing the best hockey of his career. We have a lot of veteran leadership here and I can’t even tell you how valuable Bellemare is. Guy is so underrated and gives everything he’s got. He’s been so black and blue all year and he’s been a leader. Plus this team has played everyone which in my opinion is rarely seen. This team is a true team and they come to work and work hard and I didn’t even mention how good this coaching staff is. I have watched this team since it was assembled to where it is now and it’s been unbelievable. Never seen anything like this in any spot. I think a lot of teams overvalued guys they wanted to keep. Remember before the season Vegas signed a Russian centerman to center the first line and he was beat out by so many he couldn’t even make the team. Vegas Management built this team on character players who come to work and work their off. Even the players they drafted look solid. I thought Tuch wasn’t even the best player at Rookie camp. Branstrom who they took reminds me of Kimmo Timomen and Suzuki has sick hands and a wicked shot. And I didn’t even mention Cody Glass. Plus they might have found some gems in the later rounds.

It’s crazy how so many other fans from other cities are jealous that they shouldn’t be this good and the expansion draft gave Vegas an advantage. I say ! They picked hardworking character players that work their off and each has something to prove. Plus like I have been saying you can thank two teams for Vegas being good and that’s Florida and Minnesota. Sorry that’s piss poor management on both those teams. This Vegas community has been starving for pro sports and this community fell in love with the Knights. These players are just great character guys. Their is a story about Tuch running into one of his fans and he buys her lunch and sits down with her talking hockey. How cool is that. It’s been great since rookie camp and I didn’t even think Tuch was the best player at Rookie Camp.

Tell me about it I was there tonight and will be there on Friday. It’s been electric at T Mobile.

Sorry Inkman. Yes Vegas as I live here but I’m hoping now with Buffalo finally getting #1 overall pick things can finally start to get better. Their are a ton of fellow Buffaloians here in Vegas and even though we are Sabres fans we all still cheer for the Knights. I know a ton of people here from all over the US that still has their beloved team but will cheer for the Knights when their team isn’t in the building. Call it crazy but Vegas is going nuts for this team. I can’t believe it honestly.

I was a big Myers fan in his first season but let’s face it the guy is soft and for a guy of his skating and size he should have put on some muscle and be a force. Again you can all thank Florida for giving us two great players.

He’s a choke artist. I hate hearing about all these goalie being so great and never carrying their team in big games. I thought he looked rattled games ago.

Can we all admit Rinne is so overrated. He’s not a big game goalie.
