Seems like Pegula is waiting for the team to return from this road trip to fire Adams and insert Jarmo Kekalainen. Then the acting GM can fire Ruff and stick someone else in there for the rest of the season. There is no other NHL club that would not have already fired the coach and GM this season.

I'll have to hammer the Oilers ML tonight. Not great odds but still it's nearly an automatic win for the Oil. The Sabres suck and they're not sweeping Edmonton this season.

They will have to rip them entire thing down and rebuild. This team as constructed now is a millions miles from being an 8th seed type of team.

Yeah as much as UPL just reminds me of these drought years, and plays small for a big man,…. compared to the other two guys UPL is like Ken Dryden.

Why is Ruff still the coach here? If they get fewer than 6 points on this road trip he should be fired upon arrival back in Buffalo.

At this point I'd agree. Bring up Levi, mix him in with UPL and maybe you will find lightning in a bottle. I went to that Devils game a week ago, I'd let go of Lyons and keep Ellis. Lyons just looks slow and small in the nets.

They were unlucky last week, but there are probably weeks when they are more towards luckiest as well. Seems to me the "lucky" teams like Tampa tend to have superb goaltending. So they probably give up fewer goals than expected over time...and get some wins scoring fewer goals as well.

Yep and just bring up Levi and call it a day. He performs or plays himself off the team too. Just so many games where the Sabres play well and lose because the other teams goalie plays better than ours.

UPL didn’t play terrible or anything but Pittsburgh had like what, 7 or 8 dangerous chances the entire game? and they scored on 3 of them. Not good enough. Jarry outplayed UPL plain and simple.

One of those games i thought the Sabres should have been rewarded with at least a point. Pittsburgh did nothing special to earn this.

Don’t pull the goalie too early. The guys are dominating 5 on 5 for the most part.

For a large man, pucks just go through UPL too easily. They work so hard to tie it, then that.

Buffalo never wins this type of game (coming off a big win and to get to .500) I put a nice bet on Carolina money line. Prove me wrong Sabres. I’m more than happy to pay for a win. But if we lose i want to be rewarded.

They really did wonders for the goal differential stat. When they win like tonight and 5-1 the other night you wonder why they lay so many eggs.

Realistically against Edmonton and Calgary they should go 1-1. So they did. Expectations were met. Just not in the way anyone expected.

In what world would the Sabres take a team lightly? Buffalo has been the “get right” game for every downtrodden opponent for years. We’ve lost at home to so many of them. This is not a new occurrence. They know better.

Terry’s in Houston for the Bills game tomorrow. He probably checked the score on his phone and said meh, and flushed it. He doesn’t care that much.

This list of injuries is ridiculous. You figure most hockey injuries are day to day but the Sabres have a run of longer term ones that seems to last a couple weeks or more

I agree with this. You can't fire a coach and keep the GM, etc.. or vice versa. When you blow it up, everyone has to go. The Sabres need to do something so out of the box that it's jaw dropping. Start this thing all over like an expansion team that is brand new. They would have to keep a few players but overall, yes trade anyone on the roster that can get good value in return.
