I've got to say, the last few games, Casey has impressed me. And tonight, with Thompson and Asplund, they were flying all over the place. They look good together! Even Thompson was good. Really, there could be room for this line in the future of this team.

As I've said for two weeks (more?) now: Do not trade him for anything less than a first-round pick. If the league needs to be shown that the Sabres are not a discount outlet, so be it. That will pay off gains over time more than a second-round pick will.

I liked how he looked on Monday, too. For most of the game, at least.

Had a Beyond Burger tonight. I'm Catholic, it is a Lenten Friday, and I am so sick of fish, and grilled cheese, and needed some protein. You know what? It wasn't just "not bad." The freaking thing was delicious! I mean out of dis world delicious. I am betting dat in 30 years, they'll find chemicals in dis thing dat will kill me. But I really did like it. Toppings were conventional: LTO, American cheese, pickles (dill, the dummies) and mustard. Nothing special.
