Hitler did not start off by claiming "living space" actually he started off by claiming the rights to areas previous won or controlled during the Prussian wars and borderline before WW1…….Also used the line about ethnic speaking Germans……Living Space was his line for invading territories further such as Russia.

Indeed, but because of the deals he had with the US and others he had enough power to ruthlessly contain Iraq…….Nobody that is contesting for power in the country right now has that power……I take it that the Kurds will still hold the northern mountain region and may try to expand a bit…….They will sit by and watch the other two sides go at each for a long time……There must be so many weapons in that country that everybody has their own army…….No involvement at this point might be the best policy unless Iraq oversteps its borders again

I did……..Because the entire set up of Iraq is a complete disaster…….3 completely different factions that will never get along……Churchill and the British used to play with borders like they were playing RISK and the result was Iraq…….Saddam was a bastard for sure, but I think only a bastard could keep that country together, rightly or wrongly…..He had some sort of agreement with the powers that be that allowed him to retain control…..But He pissed off the Saudi's and the US when he invade Kuwait and was a marked man……His crazy ass pushed the envelope and eventually the US went in twice, the first time much to the dismay to the Kurds in the North they stopped and left the Kurds hanging…….After the successful invasion of Iraq by the US, there is no exit strategy that would have ever have worked……..3 warring factions in what is pretty much a civil war after the power vacuum was left open without Saddam…….3 different countries would be some sort of answer, but they would no doubt fight with each other forever pretty much.

I hope Gilbert Perreault crushes out a cigarette on your forehead while your getting scoped……..But other then that good luck….. :beer:

Germany beat Portugal 1-0 today to win the Under 19 Euro in Hungary……A couple of players on this team have a very bright future…..Strike David Selke had 6 goals in the tourney.

Agreed, had they been one country they would have probably fielded a stronger team and would have formed the Bundesliga earlier which would also have lead them to having a stronger team and perhaps a couple of more trophies.

I can see this being interesting, my cousin and I have talked about this being something that could stop some very difficult calls and really if the ball is in the 18 yard box…….But I guess players could impede the goalie and defenders
