I'm old enough to recall the original royal blues, and I still think the red and black goat heads were the best Sabres jerseys of all. In fact that color scheme stripe design was massively popular with junior and high school teams all over North America. I still want to see the Sabres wear these once...once. After all, it;s the 50th anniversary of the Bisons farewell Calder Cup season.

Actually the Blues never wore those monstrosities. Mike Keenan refused to let his guys be seen it them. Oddly they look a lot like the logo of the New Orleans Brass of the ECHL. (They were a MTL farm team and have long been defunct.)

I'd be in favor of a full 1 thru 16 bracket but teams might not like the travel involved. So I'd settle for conference seeding 1-8.

BINGO! I hope Jeff sees that. He could chase a bigger payday but will he replicate what he's got going here? As my old boss was fond of saying "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered."

What does Eichel make? We can't pay Skinner more than Eich.

They're some rule that says the Sabres have to wait until Jan 1 before they can negotiate. Something to do with Skinner being acquired in a trade. But I did see a reporter tweet that said Skinner wants to stay and the Sabres do too and negotiations are certain to happen.

Too many or not enough?

It wasn't a ton of Sabres fans but a nice showing. Don't forget Boston has one of the largest Bills Backers chapters in the country. So a lot of ex-WNYers there. Most of them were at the Harp before the game. Gotta love a 1pm Bills game followed by a 5pm Sabres game.

I haven't been to the TDG in years myself. I was shocked to see a skyscraper going up where the parking lot (that was where the original Boston Garden) was.

Very fun day with the Bills winning too. Many fans leaving the Garden were unhappy with the loss but also proud of Jack Eichel today.

My dream is for the Sabres to wear the red Pepsi caps once. 2019 would have been the perfect year to do it, 50th anniversary of winning the Calder Cup. I wonder how many of that team are still alive?

Sorry. Only used them for Bills jerseys. The blue they use is 90% there. Not perfect. Lettering is also slightly larger.
