It's not blind allegiance. It's accuracy. When someone says something that isn't true, I challenge it. Just because the team is in a drought, it doesn't make falsehoods okay. There's plenty to criticize about the Sabres without going to the BS well.
-
So you're saying the Sabres have not made a single move in 5 years of Adams?
-
You are changing the topic. You said the Sabres had no plan. Now you're saying they had plans that didn't work out. Pick a lane. Adams definitely had a plan: to build a team through the draft with minimal free agent additions. He thought he had a team on the verge two years ago. He was wrong to stand pat. Now we are going to see the Sabres reshuffle the deck, dealing players, picks and assets. Why do you think Kiekäläinen is here? Will it work? Let's hope. But the Sabres have the chips to play with.
-
Because we hear nothing, we make up stores in a vacuum and convince ourselves it's what's happening. There was "no plan" until Kiekäläinen was hired. 🙄 Relax. Things will get done. Other teams may have thought they could take advantage of Adams, especially with agents feeding journalists stories hoping to put pressure on the Sabres. We have desirable assets and leverage. Eventually teams will come to the table with serious offers.

When is the schedule coming out?

Last minute decision: going to see EXTC tonight.

Did the Internet even exist back then?

And yet game day threads are pretty popular.

That was a tough break for Skinner. He was in the right position to swallow that shot in he chest protector. But it took an odd bounce.
-
	Skinner: rebound control. ugh.

	Did you see my name?

Like letting your best players leave. I can't understand why that isn't working.
-
I agree. If JJP wants out then his new team can put together a package worth trading him for. Otherwise it's "suck it up, buttercup."
-
Ask yourself where these "rumblings" are coming from. (But don't ask @Pimlach) Are we going to let a player's agent dictate to us? I don't care if JJ doesn't want to be here. We have Peterka's rights until he's a fee agent, which is years away. We decide what to do with him and when.
-
Which we all know never happens. This thread is titled "Time To Trade Peterka."
-
But here we are saying it should happen with JJ.

We must really enjoy seeing former Sabres win cups elsewhere.

I'll be seeing Fu Manchu in Boston in September and Stereolab in Buffalo in October.

Friedman- Sabres looking to move prospects for playersPromoTheRobot replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club Who doesn't want to win trades? That said, didn't Kevyn overpay a bit for Beck Malenstyn? Many thought Savoie for McLeod was an overpay. (Results now vs results in the future.) Norris/JBD for Cozens/Gilbert was a more or less an even hockey trade.

Friedman- Sabres looking to move prospects for playersPromoTheRobot replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club But there is an unfounded belief that Adams has walked away from good trades because he "overvalues" his players. It's something you can't prove unless you were on the phone.

Friedman- Sabres looking to move prospects for playersPromoTheRobot replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club What is the difference between overvaluing your players in a trade and not accepting a deal that you think is inadequate? Does anyone recall how upset fans were that Adams didn't trade Jack Eichel right away? I'm sure other GMs saw that situation as an opportunity to pry away an elite player for practically nothing. Whether you think Tuch, Krebs and picks for Eichel was adequate value, that deal was not done in haste.
