Let me guess.....government contract work? Anyone I know that is doing "well" relies in one shape or form on $$ from the gvt. The people running their own ship or in basic workforce aren't doing cartwheels.

Pretty fair results. I have been hearing from a lot of people who trend democrat who say they are seriously considering Romney, as opposed to nobody who trends conservative saying they will go Obama...unlike last time. It's going to be one of those "moment of truth" elections where when you walk into the booth or whatever variant, you have to live with the choice. I think that will weigh a bit on the swing voters. The person who is still undecided and votes for Obama is probably also the type who stays on 16 when the dealer is showing a 10 and who takes insurance out on a rental car. Just the fact that someone has seen Obama in action for 4 years and is thinking about going for Romney is probably a good indication a change should be made. People are risk adverse though, and switching out from a ho-hum guy who hasn't delivered on much of his 2008 euphoria, yet who hasn't allowed us to slip into total ruin....versus someone who probably is better versed to handle our biggest problems (i.e $$ and military)....isn't as easy for those with fear of the unknown.

You're the ladyparts expert.....we'll take your word. And when did you move to Russia?

True that Mia, STL and Indy are probably better than projected. If I take off my rose colored glasses...lines will be: @Hou +12 @NE +10 Mia -3 1/2 @IND +2 1/2 Jax -5 1/2 STL -4 SEA -1 @Mia +3 NY Pick Even if I am off....you will be solid favorites in 3 and close to a pick in 2, and slight underdogs in 2......and longshots in 2. I'll split and say 7-9 is maybe the most probable outcome at this snapshot, but I still think they crack .500

Wilson IS instinctive, but he isn't being used that way...so you just see him get bowled over by the ball carrier. I think instead of letting him do what he is good at and sniff out run vs. pass.....they are so wishy washy at CB that he needs to mind his area. Barnett has slowed down but nothing but respect for him. He'd go out there with 1 leg. I don't know if Wanny needs to go, but these players better prove him right in a hurry. It's an old-school crowd who sticks to their guns, which I respect....but after a while if it doesn't work, you deserve to go. You play out the season no matter what, but if this team finishes 6-10 I am not opposed to anything. They probably still have 8 wins in them, which puts everything in limbo a bit.

That's what i thought, because fans would have freaked if it was another pf/15. They would have had it at midfield and could grind it down to 3-4 minutes with a shot at a fg or pin them in neverland. I didn't hear the call and they don't show many penalties on the board. The only bright spot is your entire team should be healthy off the bye minus Anderson and Nelson. Maybe McGee can get a little more stability and Freddy gets to rest. The D-Line is pretty nicked up I think and the rest will come at a good time. I'd expect a little something different in D philosophy. Wanny had visions of Jason Taylor and Trace Armstrong and Zach Thomas out there. It ain't working

Thanks....I didn't see what happened. Pears has been more boneheaded lately with false starts and such. That's just crazy to do in that spot. Pretty much the win right there.

The drive before, Fitz hit Chandler at midfield for a 1st with 4 minutes left. I couldn't see the penalty on Pears at the stadium. I hope it was valid. They also overcame 30 yards of penalties for their 1st TD. The offense was good today. It was wasted. And they needed to get to the 20 for a valid FG try.....it stunk. Chan could have taken a TO with 1:45 left, but the coaches were playing chicken and had faith in their guys. Came down to 1 play to win it and Bills D failed....on a route and matchup that has burned them all year.

Wilson and Barnett have both lost half a step this year. At least Barnett still can make some plays. Wilson has been bad, especially with tackles. The carousel with CB's is also a disaster. Gilmore is a 2, and Williams, McGee, McKelvin and Rodgers are all between a 3.5 and a 6. They just plunked over the middle and the slot when Mr Rodgers was there. Dareus is playing like Finch from Wildcats. Couldn't afford to lose this. Now you need to shock in 1 of the next 2 or else go on a run. Powell can't handle the wind. In halftime warmups he was averaging 25 yards and looked to the sidelines with his arms in the air. The Fitz INT was probably a wash sadly. It would be nice to see what these guys could do if they could get cranking in all 3 aspects. Good teams get that win today.

7.5 or 8 And that is why it looked so goofy in real time. The whole scenario took almost 5 minutes to play out, with Harbaugh finally deciding to decline the penalty. It was almost as if he was waiting on the phone call from Vegas. Here's the chain of events.... Play happens, obvious penalty in end zone, didn't think refs would call it but they did. Completion gets marked but not measured Penalty announced, fans and defense go ape and celebrate, looks as if that's that Harbaugh then pulls refs to sideline and after a discussion, refs announce that Harbaugh wants to measure to see if it was a 1st down Refs measure, inch short Now replay looks at the spot due to change of possesion and inside 2 minutes Everything confirmed, refs announce penalty declined It took so long and was so complicated for something that looked like an obvious decision, given that point differential can come into play for a division tiebreak as well. I wasn't sure if you could onside a free kick, but you can, so I can understand Harbaugh with that decision. The problem was......again, very last play of game and tens of millions in the balance, and it takes over 5 minutes to sort out with the obvious call not being made and it going the other way. In the heat of the moment it looked bad. If it took 20 seconds, people would probably not think twice. Harbaugh was doing lots of mulling and discussing though and it opens room for questions. Anyone that bet SF had come to terms with a loss anyway unless a miracle happened.....which it did by a safety on a 4th down play. The fact that Alex Smith threw an INT on 3rd and goal inside the 5 just minutes earlier only added another little nugget of questioning.

Congrats...hopefully that healthcare kicks in before the atrial fib from all the coffee does.

Yes. The whole idea is to zing each other, but still come together and show solidarity. Both guys delivered as to their personalities.....Romney took command and was a little jagged with some barbs, and Obama played it cool and "aw schucks" like. They are both likable if you accept them for what they are. We could have a Sabrespace roast and if me and Taro both went after each other, we'd probably both be funny, but with different approaches and personality coming through. This and the dinner with the press are fun to watch because it humanizes these guys. If only they could do that 365 a year, we'd probably live in a much better place.

Ok...I guess it is possible to onside kick a free kick. You could kickoff without a tee. Harbaugh was protecting against a miracle 2 onside kicks with a TD and FG and no timeouts in the span of 30 seconds. It was just a crazy followup to another Vegas headscratcher of a national tv game on the last play.

Maybe there will be a tropical storm and it will cure the sky and the sand? Darnit! Then the wedding will be ruined. When will I ever learn how to shut up? ;) You've got the goods missy. Have no doubt. If you're a vampire, then call me a big ol' bag of Ab negative..........

Sizzle.....awesome! Romney has shown to be a human with a touch of swing the past month. Great stuff. I wonder who wrote some of that because I'd guess 80% of those capable and in favor are in the bag for Obama.

Thanks ;) And I even threw you the compliment in the other thread before I read this.....

We need a pic of Ms Bio smoking a Dominican cigar with a malt at her side. I would nominate that for sbarespace banner in a heartbeat!

Jim Harbaugh needs the FBI to come to town. WTF was that? Replacement refs....that's cool. These refs make a correct call, and Jimbo puts the Herm Edwards NY/PHI game into play, or the Schiano "I'm going to kill your QB" play into effect by declining a 2 possesion game with oncoming possesion of the ball. I have smelled obvious rats before with refs....but that is just goofy right there.

I was thinking: "Fans United 2 Nurture, Help, Love" $50 website.........mission statement.....announce charity and put in links......then maybe links to other similar charities in NHL cities and see if it could catch on.......this thing goes on all season, do 1 every month or so. I'm not the most computer savy fella, but if we could get some momentum here, maybe something makes sense? I dunno.....like I said, I have what I envision could be good ideas, but many times only my dog agrees.

Smilin' Joe at it again. I give him credit, he gets the truth out there one way or another. This was today in NV. You may want to top off your gas tanks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4_cJc-WYhI He asks who has had someone die or hurt in the War against Iraq or Iran......twice.....for those that can't watch or don't want to.

I think it's time for the fans to do something to show these overgrown, overcompensated children, that we will not be held hostage, and that there are plenty of more important things in life than hockey. I think we here should organize a meetup for a worthy cause, and donate our time and a game's worth of ticket money to it. I know there are plenty of heavy, complaint Thursday posts where maybe we can show support for a poster at the same time. I always was willing to meet everyone for a game activity, but maybe when it comes down to it, the sense of community is more important than the game itself.......as we find ourselves still here and talking and laughing even though no games have been going on for months and none are in sight. I don't know if that sounds good to anyone else, but I would be in. If you aren't in the area, you could still pledge to the determined cause. If someone wanted to go public with it, that's fine, but if not....we do it for ourselves. Even if only 30 of us could donate $35, it could make a nice dent in the needs of a true cause. If anyone wants to take the bull by the horns....who knows how many we could get involved. Good idea.....or Drane illusion of granduer?

If they play 82 games, I want to take a life insurance policy out on Ryan Miller. Talk about a prescription for disaster for the Sabres. A team notorious for taking nights off and having a goalie known for becoming physically and mentally fatigued, now needs to cram a full season in.

One of the only times I can describe being in close to shock was one night in Toronto when someone was holding the door open to a showplace and I was just walking the streets with my girlfriend, and who comes wheeling out and we hold up for him, but Oscar Peterson. For about 3 seconds I couldn't process it and just tell her, "That's Oscar Peterson", to which of course she replied, "Who?" What a cool dude and freak of nature. Here's him just running through about a dozen different styles on the Dick Cavett Show.

You do that to Obama....you get Secret Service at your door...... And what type of Women's group names themselves "MassGAP"? Is there a women's group in Missouri worried about conservatives taking away their rights, named "MoSnatch"? How about the Jayhawk state, where they are opining for a gay marraige ammendment.? Is the movement called "PutItInMyKAN"?
