  1. China has divested itself the past 4 years by purchasing natural resources, metals, and the companies which procure them. They have an internal hedge now sow once they peg the Yuan to something of the sort, and the dollar starts it's tank, the gains they will make will far outweigh any loss by holding US treasuries. They are patient fellas...so is Russia. Back in PPP I figured things would move swiftly, but in 2008 public plans were leaked by the Telegraph for 2014 to be the year a new global unit of currency is introduced pegged to gold, oil, and other major currencies. I truly didn't think the public would hang on this long without going apesh#t. Even in this thread people are trumping the economy......the Fed has used EVERY tool known to man, has held rates at 0%, and now have gone above and beyond to add close to an extra trillion a month, and they still can't grow the economy. This is after forgiving debts, increasing public assistance, paying people to leave their underwater homes after they mooched 12-18 months free rent on average....and a REAL unemployment/under employment rate of around 20%. What is there left to possibly do? Hyperinflation is pretty much the only way out. It's some scary stuff, and no matter who is in office, our goose is cooked. I'm still very confident the way this will be played out is through a major war, call it WWIII if you want. Leaders don't like it when their people start to figure that they are f'd and are out for blood. You have to blame somebody.
  2. And then come back in 3 days.......
  3. ironic choice of smiley....
  4. good breakdown So you're a McKinley grad?
  5. I'm ashamed I spent time looking into it.
  6. The D had control of that game yesterday. Kolb did a nice job of scrambling to keep a few drives alive, but he also got away with a few "in the grasps" or groundings. It felt like the Cleveland game...although the score was close, they "had it". When the O needed a TD, they pretty much did what needed to be done. Maybe it helped I missed the first 3 minutes with DirectV feed down. A fumble on the first play sure can be an emotional tonesetter. NE...yes, didn't play their best in the 1st half, but it could have been 28-7 just as well. Bills were making plays in all 3 areas.
  7. The highest % of subconciousnessy goodness in any post here ever!
  8. I'm just spewing in general. I felt better it was blocked as well. we.........oui
  9. It's not some made up scenario to fit your needs....it's simple math. A FG try is a FG try, save wind, rain, angle. It's not ###### off because Drew Stafford is 1.27 standard deviations better than the average forward in puck possesion after winning a faceoff in the neutral zone. Like Shrader said....a lot of guys would have gone for it as your % to get the 1st and improve your chances is probably the better play. I've told you 20 times....I respect the people in command and who play for the Bills for the most part. That leads to trust and belief. With the Sabres it is 180 recently. You don't find me micro-disecting why the Sabres got lucky to win a game after a win. I just take the macro view that they are wusses and have an artificial Lindy Ceiling. It's fine if someone doesn't think the Bills have the horses to get it done come January....but it is the breakdown and almost "willing" them to lose that I find funny. I just call a spade a spade. It is more the lack of understanding of tempo and situations from the local "media" that has me fluffing things off. The writeup reads as if the Sabres won 3-2 in OT after getting outshot 47-18 and Weber put the tying goal into his own net with 1 minute left.
  10. That blows. That could be a career killer for a guy like him. F the lockout.
  11. I love how everyone is saying this..... The Bills limited Arizona to 61 yard FG attempt in the closing minute in order for them to tie the game. There had been 11 FG's in the history of the NFL of 60 yards or over, and the FG% of over 55 yards is a joke. The 61 yard FG was the outlier to a game the Bills controlled much of the tempo. Reading so many people, including sportswriters, the lack of understanding of the rules, %, etc. of what happened yesterday is astounding. What is even more interesting is the seeming need to emotionally distance themselves from a team instead of instinctively understanding and feeling the flow and tempo of a game. The Bills controlled tempo in the majority of their 3 wins, as well as the NE game. They were not outclassed in the 1st half at SF. The only game they had zero control of was the Jets game. If you could hold every team to a 61 yard FG attempt to tie a game with 1 minute left the entire year.....you finish 15-1 or 16-0. They miss 13 of 16, and the 3 they make...like yesterday....they still need to kick the ball off and survive OT. It really is amazing. I've seen molestation victims more willing to enjoy themselves with a future partner than a lot of the "Bills Fans" are watching these games. If these people are so scared of being pleasured, go to the SPCA and adopt 7 cats, lock yourself in your apartment, and watch Ellen reruns all day. http://skepticalsports.com/?p=791
  12. What have I been saying about him all along? The guy is all class and all man. When you play for someone like that, you take it personal when you let him down. The wildcat call was horrible. I still agree with his approach with his other calls at the end of the game though. It's understanding that not only was your defense doing well for the most part at the time, but if you have any plans more than being 8-8, you have to instill that trust in each other. Again.....this is a season of "springboards". Chan is very good at identifying the psychology of the game and of his players. You need to take the proper risks throughout the course of the season and parlay them together to be a champion. Put Welker on a team with Vick at QB and he probably catches 65 balls. Put him with Brady...synergy. Fitz will light it up in one of these next 3 games. He's due. I know he is limited, but he also has streaks of flash. You can probably beat Tennessee alone on talent and homefield advantage, and then if we get "good" Fitz for one of the next 2, things will get interesting in a hurry. Again...they messed with his mechanics all offseason. When is the last time you heard anyone mention David Lee? They probably shipped that F'r off to Siberia.
  13. 1) Your Laura Bush ticket the Cards finish with more than 6 wins. 2) The Bills outplayed New England the majority of the game. That's what people are missing. It isn't a team that got lucky....it was a team that utterly collapsed in the middle of the 3rd quarter. It's a problem, but an easier problem to solve than lack of talent. 3) I can't get behind a team with Darcy Regier as GM. At least only 50% of the roster is affected by what Fitz does, not 100% 4) I don't mock the Sabres, just like I don't ask for a refund from SABAH. You know what you are getting when you cross the turnstile.
  14. The Bills were a 5 point underdog against a 4-1 team who has won the last 8 home games. The Bills have won every game they were a favorite in, and are 1-3 against teams they were underdogs to. They will be favorites in 7 of the next 10, all things being equal. The Bills have honest and trusting men in charge of their operation who bring in trustworthy players and allow them to determine the outcome without micromanaging. Fitzpatrick is still awful. I gave my opinion, I offered a wager. Luckily Uncle Vito's friend, "Giuseppe the Gent" isn't so adverse to friendly bartering. I will never again feel any hesitancy to mock the Sabres when deserved after watching this season play out on this thread.
  15. Not only that.....before the new rules, the team that received actually LOST more than they won in OT. At worst you put Arizona at their 20, and next score wins. It was the right move. I was even confused going into the season what the deal was with OT. It's interesting, but I don't like the rule. Today Chan made the absolute correct call. I don't fault him either for calling runs on 2nd and 16 inside their own 20. The defense controlled much of the game and gave up a fluke 61 yard FG. Ask any coach if you had to have the game come down to a 61 yd FG attempt against you just to tie it, and they would take it all day. Team played with gusto.....Spiller. Byrd, Johnson, Dareus, the guys I identified who need to be left alone to play with emotion, all had nice games. Byrd jumped that INT like Ed Reed. Chan trusted his D, and they came up big when needed. There's a pretty darn good chance you are going into week 9 as the leader in the division. Go figure, huh?! It's nice to be on Promo's and K-9's side for a change.
  16. I will forgive you, because you may not know the new rules..... If the Bills make a 52 yd FG, the Cardinals will receive the ball on a kickoff and have a chance to tie or win the game. If the Bills miss a 52 yd FG, you give the ball to Arizona on their 42, and they would have to move the ball 14 yards to put Feeley where he was when he tied the game.....to WIN the game. If you punt, you put you defense on the field who has controlled the game for 85% of the time, with a backup QB on the field, and make them march anywhere from 40 to 60 yards to get into field goal position, and expect your defense who has 5 sacks and 2 turnovers to either be able to make a play, or prevent them from advancing and then have to punt to one of the top 4 return men in the game. Like I said.....i don't know if you understand the rules, so I will give a pass. Punt is the right call, probably 70% success rate. I love watching all the Sabres appologists squirm when the Bills win! Where were the Sabres 40% through last season? Haha!
  17. Trade for Gaustad.
  18. I mean...if that doesn't confirm the Cheap Throat is him with all the other stuff...you know, him being an Expo fan, then that is another big coinkidink,
  19. Like a gift from the Gods! Check out this TJ Oshie tweet..... Now why would he be asking Scott Hartnell if he had anything to say, minutes after the Nationals (Uhhum..EXPOS....Uhhumm) choked? https://twitter.com/OSH74
  20. What is this publication anyway? I assumed it was a bigger deal, but it is some freelancer. How did everyone find out about it? Yeah...no mum, but I went back and read all his postings...there is obvious misdirection with stuff. That Metropolit one is interesting because he was actually Hartnell's center in Philly and they are friends. He also calls out Briere and Giroux and says he hates Briere.....and never mentions Philly in his favorite things, as to not give it away (if it were him)....but mentions Nashville for nightlife and fun. He also takes trips to Vegas and Playboy, and is a big poker player. Who knows....it could be a freelancer having fun, it could be an actual guy mixing in fact and fiction. The Thanksgiving story was so specific though that it seemed like it was a direct barb and funny as hell....it has to be real. And the fact it happened so long ago if it is him makes him think it's safe. That's the zinger still to me. Who knows though, Alberta could be misdirection.... It would just be funny if you could call a guy out for blasting some of the people he is.
  21. Ha! I like him too. Just a little mental exercise for a blustery Friday afternoon in a town where I am lucky enough to have most of my teeth....according to Player X. Couple of other tidbits....dad is retired and older and very close. Makes sense when he uses terms like he "putters around" or something like that. Family fits profile better than Lupul.
  22. April 8, 2010 Anaheim gave up the lead at Dallas with 2 minutes left but Lupul wasn't healthy and playing. There is video, but it doesn't go far back enough to see if there was a turnover. I'm not throwing Lupul out yet. Baseball is tough in Canada. Not many options. I hope we nail this guy.......nothing more fun than to see someone like Hartnell have to backtrack if you could get him for sure. Next search, "Randy Robitaille tranny" Dig this Q+A with Hartnell..... http://flyers.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=35788 Favorite other sport: Baseball Favorite road city: Edmonton Favorite player: Gretzky Car: GMC truck (Dad Silverado) Offseason residence: Minnesota (Bellows reference?) First job: Concrete worker (blog reference to his dad getting a construction job for him through his buddy?) Get this...Ring Tone: AC/DC TNT......last blog post (F### it. ROAD TRIP! At least I can plug my iPhone into this thing. Where we going? First stop? AC/DC. Second stop? AC/DC. Third stop? AC/DC) Ladies and gentlemen of the jury.......I think we're gonna get this F'r!
  23. Hmmmnnn.......nothing in Philly, but check out this boxscore from January 17, 2001 when he played with Nashville. They lose a tie game in OT and Hartnell ends up a -1.........you could probably narrow down the tranny taker to 3 or 4 guys, and 12 years ago is enough time to let a nugget loose like that. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/hockey/nhl/boxscores/2001/01/17/dal_nas/ Here is the quote: "Best cities to catch your linemate get a tugger from a tranny behind the rink after a loss in which he gave the puck away trying to make a move at his own blue line in the last two minutes of a tied game: Dallas"
  24. Good call.....the Lupul family thing has me stumped. I read an article where his mom's father is part owner of the Oilers, and he watched all the games since he was 2 and would call play by play in the backyard....so he's still alive.....BUT You may be correct. Single, parents live on Alberta/Sask border. He is a forward and party boy. Looked at Twitter and he has been home, but also on the road. He only played for Nashville, so have to look. He gave detailed info about losing a 2-2 game in Dallas when a linemate turned over the puck at his blueline. If I have some time, I will see what I can pull.
