I don't have much to say these days because the curtain has been pulled. It used to be tough trying to balance "warning" and not ruining peoples' entertainment. I actually felt bad at times. I feel bad for everyone now. Like....the only way out of this is to pray sort of bad.

I'm sure the biological researchers here could shed some light......but when coming up with the antibody....it must be really neat to see the last few strains of infection, die under the microscope.....

I don't see hysteria. But you have a guy with attitude, work ethic, KHL, and even age questions.....you bring him up but never put him in a position to succeed.....now send him back with the kiddies just when the most viable player that could synergize his game returns (Leino)...and your team blows anyway. Throw in the contract issue and it is 4 or 5 smaller things that add up to classic mismanagement. Name one thing that looks like has been a success in his development so far? Ooooh....he got to see what the NHL is like for 2 months!.....Yeah, what a dysfunctional NHL team that gives lackluster effort, had to fire it's saint of a coach, and has one of the worst special teams in the league looks like. I don't care what sending him down means for the team, as it is pretty much moot. But you already have a fragile teenager....and now he gets jerked around. Darcy said he's handling it fine......what has Grigorenko said? In all honesty, this is just another patient to triage in this planecrash of a season.

I agree. I remember when Turgeon first came here and there were 15 or so "oooooh la la" moments by now. Grigs has had maybe 3 or 4.."that was nice" moments.

I agree the contract shouldn't be an issue...but it IS the kind of thing Darcy gets his jollies off on. And I agree he has looked ordinary at best...but Leino is the one guy that would work magic with him...now both guys are stiffed. You don't buy a used Porsche....take it out of the garage from December to February, then determine it's no good. Just a cluster-f of poor timing and decisions. The car may need work, but you never opened it up in good road conditions to see just what you had.

I had to look that up.... Cucumbers was a poor choice of imagry....... This could be a great bluff by someone or for some reason a fluke, but I think it's more a case of a series of slips and never expecting someone to go on a mushroom samba....
