(although WTF Kari Lehtonen doing on this list!)

  2. He's no bleepin victim! He's a lousy and big mouthed player who's a big reason why the team sucks. IMO he should just shut up about it. Talk is cheap! Let your play do the talking....His spoke very clearly for him....it says he stinks. Next, let's hear from Leino about how the joke's over! Guess he's a victim too.

Leino was supposed to be a top offensive player, Weber is supposed to be a third pairing D man. I really don't understand what the conversation is about.

  3.

So is he supposed to acknowledge his lack of talent in his comment? He's a hockey player. He wants to win. Every time he got scored on it hurt him 50x more than it hurt you. He's just as frustrated with the terrible hockey and losing as a lot of fans. I know you and I are distanced enough to be able to see it abstractly and wish for the tank but what freeman preaches is true, losing begets losing. Mike Weber won't accept that because he's made of the right stuff.

    :)

  4. Nevermind even kind of insinuated anything like this, but, hell, it's fun to just say stuff...

Fact is he failed miserably in the role he was given.

So the only thing you got out of what I posted is that I said you compared him to Shea weber? Which we both know you didn't but in some sort of demeaning Dstebb style you need to point it out? All you had to do was type that last sentence but that just wouldn't be you now would it.

  5. I just think it's a stupid comment in every way possible.

He complains about the lack of success on a team when he's one of the main contributors to their failures. No matter how large the soft spot many on this board have for a guy like him who works hard... he had the 5th worst plus/minus in the NHL.

The problem you and every other MW hater is you blame him for being him. He didn't give himself top 4 minutes. He's a fringe NHL defenseman. You keep banging on him like he's supposed to be Shea Weber. Mikes not that good but we are criticizing a guy put into a role he couldn't possibly succeed at?

  6. Conacher, I fear, might be Gerbe 2.0. He's small, hustles, but doesn't put the puck in the net enough to be a better option than a bigger player. I'd say a hockey team has room for one small guy that scores goals, maybe two if they're both really good. We already have Ennis, Conacher needs to put in 20+ or be replaced by someone 6' 200+. Ideally, replaced with someone 6' 200+ that scores 20+. :)

He's still half a foot taller than Gerbe

  7. I thought Mark McGuire was the face of the steroid era, or Barry Bonds.

I can buy that but Arod and not to mention Clemens and Giambi, are at the very least their wingmen. No team is innocent in this (?) era. Players on every team took stuff to gain an advantage. No Yankee fan should ever acuse Red Sox of steroid use. I'm fully aware Manny and Ortiz are not innocent but they haven't been proven guilty as Red Sox either.
