  1. State testing is hurting our education system

I concur. When my Step-son was in fifth grade, I noticed that his curriculum had drastically changed. It seemed like they skipped ahead 3 grades. It turned out that in the middle of the year, the students had to prepare for state exams and then return to their original curriculum.

  2. You mention your job a lot on Thursdays? Do you hate it? You don't have to answer. I was just curious.

Technically, I have 2 jobs. I don't think I've ever mentioned my primary source of income. I usually just bitch about my pizza delivery job. I actually enjoy both jobs.

  3. You know who sucks. People that drive 15 mph below the posted speed limit. If you don't want to drive 70 mph on the highway, good for you. If you think it's ok to drive 20 mph in a 35 mph, you shouldn't be driving.

I have a job to do. The more deliveries I take, the more money I make. People holding me up because they feel "safer" at 20 mph are directly taking food off my table. Drive near the damn speed limit.

  4. Why not just go park a few rows over where there are plenty of spaces and walk the extra 20 yards? Is it really that important?

The sheer pettiness and laziness of it all is what really annoys me. Generally the stalkers are tubalards that are jamming a triple-quarter pounder with exta cheese, bacon and lard in their fat pie holes. Depending on my mood, I may mumble or yell that it wouldn't hurt them to walk the extra 30 feet.

  5. I have a 2001 Saturn

I've lost any shred of respect I had for you.

At that point, they kept on walking probably thinking I'm ready to snap.

As soon as they got inside, I'm going shithouse with my door on the side of their car. What were they driving?

  6. I ordered a pizza 3.5 hours ago and it's still not here. I've called to complain 3 times and get the same crappy excuse each time. At this point I think they want me to call and cancel, but there are no other decent food options at this point and , I'm getting this pizza.

uh...what? If you didn't put it on a card, I would have just ordered from another place and not answered the door when the original order shows up.

On a side note, I'll be in Stoughton this afternoon. Two of my wife's friends are getting married on the same day (Saturday).

  7. I'm tired. I hate waking up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep for hours. :wallbash:

That has happened to me in years as I am usually at the point of complete exhaustion when I go to be. Insomnia is a serious thing, I would find out the cause. Stress?

  8. 1) She can't do the work you do

    2) Doesn't want to give you the credit

    3) Is afraid Her boss will find out she's not doing the work

That's more or less every boss in the company besides mine who actually knows his #%^$#!. Which I'm thankful for.

  9. A manger in the company I work for calls me and asks for a favor. She's not my boss but I used to work for her and she knows I can get #%^$#! done. So I bring her the info she's looking for with supporting documentation but she waves me off as I approach the conference room. Thanks for wasting my time.

  10. And just so Blue doesn't yell at me for going off topic, I have to complain about you offering absolutely no help for my post game drinking problem.

Come on. Your in Boston, you know full of drunk Irish people. You can't find a good place to booze. Where exactly are you? I know of some good places in Quin(z)cy. If you are into the seedy, coke dealing kinda of hell holes.

  11. My post game bar is closed for renovations right now. This place is about a block away from the college arena I'm always at. There's other stuff in the area, but this bar is the perfect post game atmosphere while the others are more sit down type places. So far I'm only 2 games in, but I've felt lost after both.

Ever go to Fajitas and Ritas? My wife intorduced it to me when I was in Boston, and I fell in love. I guess that is not thge kind of place you are looking for.

  12. I don't like cider and have no fireplace. Instead I get a cold beer, sit near a furnace duct and feel the draft through the window.

One other complaint....I'm taking delivery sometime this week on a new car for the first time since 2001 and I completely forgot what a-holes car salesmen/dealerships are.

Abso-freakin-lutely. When we purchased our Accord. It took us 4 Honda dealerships to finally come across a salesman I could stomach.
