Much of the league has been pillaged due to taxi squads, injuries and COVID. It looks like the Amerks have been hit worse than most but the AHL as a whole has been in tatters this season.

Yeah not a lot of options at this point. Why they didn’t pick up someone off waivers prior to the trade deadline is beyond me.

It’s like Donny Meatballs is one of us. He knows who’s good and who sucks. He puts the right players in the right spots to succeed. My man crush is swooning. I don’t agree. I think they are playing the best players, regardless of tenure.

The players sure but outside of a handful of prospects, these games don’t really mean anything. No playoffs, just a bunch of strangers getting loot for some mercenary hockey. Happy for them. Would be a great subject to write a story about.

I’m not even sure what the point of 15 guys on PTOs suiting up for a team with no fans but I’m glad guys are getting an opportunity that would otherwise never be available. Lots of dreams coming to fruition.

My blood thirst quickly evaporates when watching that hit. Dude got his brain scrambled. He’s got a family. I don’t enjoy seeing anyone like that...other than Brad Marchand. That guy can get dead.

I feel like the casual fan is highly anticipating UPLs debut but the fans who have closely followed him through the AHL have some trepidation as this could be another 6 goal eruption akin to Ryan Miller’s debut.

I think they need more speed and physical play on the wing. A couple of real bangers we can sprinkle in the lineup to keep opponents on their toes. Also could use the same on the backend. I think Risto (if kept), Borgen and Samuelsson are a nice start. I’d like to see them add one more guy that is the bowling ball with butcher knives type that opponents want nothing to do with. I kinda envision Olofsson as a PP specialist that we can move in and out of the lineup based on the need that day.
