Unfortunately, outside of Axl Rose Foley, the Sabres aren’t going to pick anyone up. Even when this team was in its darkest hour (probably still are), they barely seem interested in taking a flyer on anyone.

I’m torn, my obvious pro Amerks bias aside, I’m not sure what’s best for the kid or the team. He could certainly use some seasoning in the AHL but he definitely is offensively gifted enough to be in the show. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
