The night cap does tend to have more Sabres content as the young dudes that have been hosting the last few years are more Sabres centric.

I get it. Maybe it’s time to listen to the podcasts that are out there. Lots of content, not sure how much is listenable. Maybe I’ll start my own. 😀

I’ll be watching tonight

I listen to WGR an absurd amount. Usually anywhere from 4-7 hours a day. I try to catch any and all Sabres content they provide. The Instigators is great for this. Sports Talk Saturdays are usually heavy with Sabres content. But the stations two mainstay shows, Howard & Jeremy and Schopp & Bulldog have been super light on content, in particular the last week or so. With the team looking so good, the kid line tearing up the NHL, Tage bursting into a superstar, Dahlin looking like a Norris nominee and Power and Samuelsson blossoming into NHL stalwarts; finding Sabres content on WGR has been frustrating. I realize NFL and the Bills are king in Buffalo. I just think with the team struggling to get butts in the seats, there would be a push to promote the aforementioned things rather than dedicating hours upon hours to OBJ watch. Is it just me?

Paul Hamilton has repeatedly mentioned this week on WGR that the Sabres are out of the playoff race due to the losing streak? Is it even true? Do they have no realistic chance to make up the ground? Didn’t the Blues win the cup after being in last place in December?

Watching our top two lines and top 4 D has been appointment television. Every rush and possession in the O zone has me on the edge of my seat. For different reasons, I’m also on the edge of my seat when 37, 71, 45, 20 & 78 are on the ice.

Also, I think both these kids will do the gritty stuff it takes to win. Both routinely operate around the goalie without fear. They battle on the boards to gain possession. They hit back if someone is in their grill. i do think the team will need a couple of bangers to support the kids. I don’t think we see them this season. Probably will be replacements on next seasons roster. KA wants to see what he has in the kids this season.

Are you saying this based on the giddy laughing 22 & 77 we’re doing on the bench after on of their goals? They are 20 year old kids having fun playing a game. Let them live a little.

They have a long way to go to hit their ceilings, yes. They are a very functional, entertaining, skilled group of forwards excelling as line 2 on this up and coming team.
