I haven’t been a huge Greenway fan but his role, particularly on the PK, isn’t replaceable within the org. I don’t see a reason to move from him yet.

Acquiring players like Robinson should have been the offseason goal. Resigning Girgs and Okie was an egregious error on Kevyn’s part. I understand the vibes nonsense but this team needed to solidify their bottom 6.

In order for something to be an eyesore, people’s eyes have to see it. No one cares about the NHL draft outside of the first half of the first round. With good reason, barely any of those kids make it. It’s all a crap shoot. I can’t shoulda, coulda, woulda every draft pick.

There is definitely something to a guys first few games with a new team. Especially midseason. They come in all hopped up on adrenaline (maybe something else 😬) and pot a couple goals and blast a couple dudes. Then fade away into the nether.

Rousek is certainly a candidate for a bottom 6 role. Not sure why he didn’t get a longer look. Kozak, IMHO, just doesn’t have the game the Sabres need. Just low event all over the ice. Yeah no one here, outside of noobs, thinks this matters. At all.

I really hope so. Would have beat MTL in regulation if a forward with the requisite skill set to play the PP was given the opportunities that KO had on the PP.

Matt Ellis…the elephant in the room

Losing Murray, which is highly unlikely given his foot speed and lack of any one quality being good enough to warrant keeping him, won’t be an issue. Just so I follow, is Brett Murray, who has cleared waivers more times than I can remember and has played slightly more NHL games than me, a part of the trade package? 📦 They have either not drafted any or traded away any future hopefuls. To be fair, finding 4th liners shouldn’t be a problem. We picked one up for practically nothing last week.

Brett Murray is to tough as Zemgus Girgensons is to scoring. It doesn’t happen often and we’re usually quite surprised when it happens.
