Yeah our resident himbo didn’t do himself any favors if he is the one leading the “revolt”. Been questioning our $11 million dollar man since before he “earned” that contract. He’s supremely gifted physically. It may end there. I’ve never seen a player as talented as him make the mistakes he makes.

His skating with the puck, zone exits and zone entires are among the best on the team. Like you say nothing that splashes. He’s generally good in the o zone down low and around the net. But think that’s where we’ll see the most improvement. Not sure if he’s ever going to be physical. If he does, he’ll immediately be a fan favorite.

GMs are paying early with hopes of paying less in the long term. It’s a risk but I’m certain they are using analytics to evaluate who is really performing and who is showing out for a contract year. They are going to miss some. Maybe one of the Sabres young core doesn’t live up to the contract. The bet is the rest of the early payouts will payoff with superstars making significantly less than their peers allowing GMs to sign more good players.

Does being dished mean getting his face smashed during a fight? I honestly don’t know. Saw Cuzzy postgame in the locker room as well as him blocking shots. He’s turning into a man. It hasn’t been at the pace we would have liked and getting his marbles knocked loose didn’t help but his actions and physique are impressive. Kid is putting in the work. He’s too talented for it to not work out on some level.
