  1. McGinn to the box ... trade the stiff.
  2. Pro 2nd Amendment stuff ...
  3. For the record, and because I think you and I are in many of the same boats, and because I think we have micro-aggression disease in this country ... I did see this one differently. Sweet isn't nice, and neither is a business attribute I hear often with male bosses. If we were talking about her business persona, and Bucky said to me she's not sweet, I'd say "um, yeah, but back to her business persona ... or are women supposed to be sweet in business settings.". Small thing, but I'm sympathetic to your broader points about language and sensitivity. I call them insults, real and imagined. This one did catch my ear.
  4. Is it me, or has Foligno remembered how big he is, recently?
  5. McGinn's gonna bring offers at the deadline.
  6. Ok, if I'm DD .... Do I congratulate Kane for the PK and tracking a man down the ice, back into his own zone, following him behind the net, engaging the body, and coming up with the puck .... and stop there? Or, do I do the same thing and add "but don't then throw it on net from deep in the corner when you're well into a shift and short handed?
  7. I rewound that and missed the goal!
  8. I have nothing, nothing, in common with dirty Dick Morris!
  9. Prediction - Goal! Er, no goal.
  10. Grainy black and whites. You can't see the funky beat band. No vocals ...
  11. Dangerous with those third contracts for the very good, non-elite. I suppose that's not new.
  12. I do. The great tragedy of life is to be old and just as enthusiastic. Makes for great home video, but it remains tragic.
  13. I was thinking someone's told him he needs to up his game. Professional pressure, if you will. "Say things that'll get 'em talking".
  14. I listened to GMTM today, and Sirius during the week. "It's a young man's game seems to be a theme. I wonder how that's going to affect contracts.
  15. brb, slipping Rob Ray another note with something to say and piss off "WidCard". "If you're going to do a game day thread, it has to be concise and focused. You can't ramble with references to mythology and old girlfriends .... No one wants pictures".
  16. He remembers his first game very well. He got 52.7 of his starts on the offensive zone and finished with a Rel Corsi of 51.1. He took no face offs. They didn't matter, or so he thought at the time.
  17. Hotel California ... Hertel Avenue ... 1982/83.
  18. OK, OK, I'll stop ..... He must've been, he got a holiday.
  19. ^same experience Hoss ... I know who you meant. JJ ... You are on spot on with Rand ... I'm amazed at the "kids"
  20. You're thinking of Entwistle On a more solemn note ... Godspeed ...
  21. The JACOBINS! Marat, Marat! Sorta cool, for me, to see that magazine online. I had no idea. Ask your friend his or her view on finger snapping campus Mini-Me Robespierres. I'm truly interested, full and total respect. I enjoyed the article. It makes me think. I am grateful for MLK. Your friend may say I'm grateful for the negotiated, sanitized, watered down MLK. I get it. Politics makes for strange bedfellows. Most accomplishment is compromise. Your friend used bowlderized in a sentence. Interestingly, I did find my mind wandering while reading Jacobin Magazine. Was a sanitized King presented to society for easy consumption, or is a radicalized King presented to Jacobin Magazine? Probably a little of both. The thought leaves me full of wonder ... the world I do not know. If the boldwerizing King expedited change by making the message palatable, then ends and means, and so on. However, if true, it also helped create a baseline for the "what would MLK think of today's civil rights antics, tsk, tsk" crowd. #alllivesmatter, anyone? How your friend makes me think: I see King as the high water mark in terms of intent, accomplishment, and tempered approach. King is "give me freedom and responsibility, no more, no less". I will read the article many times. Do we all three agree on greatness? Now, where are my culottes? Where, oh, where? I cannot go strolling sans culottes!
  22. Define "access" ...
  23. Hey, for lack of a better place ... Martin Luther King, Jr. Day .... When I look back, there are few I admire more. Equality and dignity, a human being ... Proper respect to MLK, Jr. ... you made a difference.
