  1. Yeah, I took that into account. I think the Sabres bad play has put them on the wrong side of bad calls so far this season. Rob Ray, it's called suntan lotion or hypertension medicine.
  2. Wow, did TPegs get out the wallet for these refs? The Sabres usually don't get calls in their favor like that.
  3. Stafford, plz, Hecht can't handle that kind of play.
  4. Wow. Hope he didn't damage his spine again getting that goal.
  5. Looks like Miller ain't going to be your rock tonight, boys. Better play some hockey.
  6. Yay, Ennis. It's hard to believe that there's a team worse than the Sabres, but the Panthers look it.
  7. I wonder what kind of lessons Rolston has been teaching Grigs. It's difficult to tell if he's trying to cover a zone or a man. It was pretty clear right there that he is defensively not too sharp, yet. He also looked like he was slacking off in his own zone unless the puck was high on the wall.
  8. Okay, since it's quiet here, I'd like to take this opportunity to point out: If I hear that Rolston is a "teacher" one more time I'm going to barf. The "bad habits" mantra as of late is the set-up for this season's excuse in case of failure, all at the expense of Ruff. I can't think of a more weaselish tactic than that. Good on Gerbe for the goal. Yay team.
  9. The very end of that fight was great. Good on Scott. See! He's worth something!
  10. I'm sorry, TrueBlue. It would have been nice for the Sabres to make a play for the guy.
  11. The game hasn't even started and we already have some flame-throwing going on in the thread. Just so everyone knows, I've been using the hide-users-posts option for nearly all of February and it has made my Sabrespace experience all that more enjoyable.
  12. I wouldn't freak out over this. Remember, Rolston is the intellectual hockey coach. He's probably taking measure of who on the roster can do what and developing a thorough spreadsheet.
  13. Draft position and player moves are no where near as important to me as Regier sticking around yet another season. For superficial entertainment's sake I'd like to see a run of victories and team improvement, but as a fan interested in the Cup and the long haul, I want to insure the Sabres have a new GM in place by draft day.
  14. The angle of his nose is slightly worse than I thought. Poor dude, I don't know if surgery will help that when his NHL career is over.
  15. Anyone hear on WGR today that Ken Sawyer thinks Regier is a genius? I think it was during Schopp and Parker's show.
  16. Maybe that's the plan...now the rest of the league will underestimate the Sabres for most of the rest of the season.
  17. What's with these zone exits ending up in breaks? That's shiny new.
